If you have yet to meet the Harris brothers, you are missing out on truly wonderful books. Amy Daws weaves romance, sports, and amazing family dynamics to create stories that are both funny and romantic. Angst. Humor. Romance. Desire. It's all part of her magic. Cassandra is a plus size heroine, and while I loved that she had insecurities, I was really hoping she would be fully confident in her body as she was in her convictions. I always feel like this is a double edged sword, because many plus size people are not 100% confident in how they look. It makes the heroine relatable. So I had all the intentions of posting a pic of this on my kindle when I was about to start reading early this morning. A strange thing happened. It actually has not happened to me in a while so that's the strange part. I read this in one sitting! Yeah, I know! I have not been this engrossed in a book in a while that I haven't been able to put it done at least for a couple of hours to run errands and such. Yeah I started at around 7 am and the next thing I know it's 12:45pm. Yeah, errands schmerrands! Seriously though, I have not been so engrossed in a book like I was with this one. Totally had to give this it's own rating too! BOoker Harris is a very intriguing character. He is amazingly hot with his Keeper Hands. He has a trouble accepting "Love" from the people who are not his family. He is way too afraid of becoming weak and making his family suffer by becoming selfish. I thought cozy was a wonderful fmc. The more I read, the more I got to know her and understand why she is the way she is. It’s honestly wonderful to see how strong she is and how confident and beautiful she feels in her own skin!! I also really loved how awkward she was throughout the book, just saying the most random things. It was funny.

The most annoying and distracting part of this book for me was Cozy’s constant insecurities and fat-shaming inner critic. If you go through my highlights you will see how this dominated the narrative for at least 80% of the book. I get that she was plus sized and I appreciate that a character can have some insecurities that she can overcome through her character arc, but in this book it was overwhelming and incessant. It got really old really fast. In one breath she would say she was happy with her body, yet in the next she thought she was too fat for Max to want. Like many, many times. ‘Max probably dated size 0 models’ ‘Max could get someone way hotter than me’ even when Max gave every indication that he was INCREDIBLY into her curves she kept on with it. And adding to that, the constant negative body shaming of slimmer women was frankly insulting. Not just curvy girls are reading this. Calling athletic women gym rats or implying that thinner women are always starving is misogyny. One woman’s worth is NEVER elevated by demeaning another woman. I was incredibly disappointed in Daws when I read these moments. She went out of her way to be inclusive to lesbian and pansexual characters, to introduce topics like forced heteronormativity on lesbian women and yet slapped down differently sized women in her next breath. Come on! Do better Ms Daws. If you read my highlights you will see that I’m not exaggerating. It was a big part of the narrative for Cozy’s character. This was a very sweet story about long-time best friends becoming more. Another fun read in the Harris family saga. Poppy awakened one day and realised she felt more for him than best friends. Her plan to confess her feelings were derailed. The night she was prepared to confess her feelings to him, he takes someone else to their ‘place’ and she catches him in a compromising position, breaking her heart. Thank you @bbooksreview for the great rec! I’ve now added Amy Daws to my list of authors to look for. You know I was sorta steadfast on Tanner being my favorite Amy Daws hero.. yes, there was soulful, hurt, beautiful Hayden... and leave-me-swooning-and-drooling, brooding glassed Theo.. but Tanner was that juust right mix between deep, vulnerable.. and alpha sexiness..They never crossed that line of friendship as he watched his brothers break countless girls’ hearts. Each time he started to get attached to one of their girlfriends, they’d vanish, never to be seen again. Max is a single father who is devoted to his daughter Everly so with his ex-wife out of town for a few months he decides to hire a nanny. The search has been unsuccessful, and he is down to the final applicant when not only is she late but her life philosophies make her unsuitable however his daughter doesn’t agree. Cassandra’s past. I won’t spoil this, but I thought Amy did an amazing job portraying how dark Cozy’s time at her previous job was. I care for her. Deeply. I would be f*ing devastated if something happened to her, but do I love her? No, Vi. I don’t. I don’t have the space to love her like that.” Another detail I absolutely loved was the Bookstagram and Booktok references. She took every single trend readers have been going crazy for and weaved them in do seamlessly it felt effortless. They even sometimes made me laugh out loud because I was like I LOVE WHEN GUYS DO THAT IN BOOKS.

Will and Lottie bringing life to this story is just so much fun and also so emotional. I swear, this audiobook is perfection. Lottie perfectly does Poppy’s parts where she sings as she talks, and just the emotion in all the voices in the tense or emotional scenes is fabulous. This is apart of an interconnected series but each can be read as a stand alone! I haven’t read them all just yet—and was not confused at all! But I did read One Moment Please and seeing those characters in this book made my heart happy!! Max’s (30) daughter, Everly, will be staying with him all summer, which means that he needs a nanny for her (her mom’s in a different country with her wife). He’s interviewed a bunch of them and there’s something about each of them that he doesn’t care for, until the last one on the list walks in, connects with Everly, and then gets hired on the spot by her… all before Max can even say no 😬.

Max took Zaddy to another level. And let me tell you, I’ll never look at a loose tie the same way ever again. Nothing will stop him when he finds what he is looking for. This single father is devoted to his daughter but allows himself to heal and take his own life to tie-dye.May I have felt thoroughly hot from a sexy scene, and had my heart broken minutes later, followed by heart eyes at some sweetness? Why yes, yes, I may. In the best possible way.

He thought getting a second chance at life was difficult, but resisting the spark he feels with her will test all of his strength. That’s how she felt right up until she fell in love with a Tires Tires Tires waiting room in her home town which inspired her waiting room meet cute series, the “Wait With Me” series. There are certain people that cross your path in life whom you will change your entire direction to follow."
