However, apart from the occasional stylistic disagreement (some of the language was a bit twee for me) I thought this was an excellent book, a really good introduction to lots of ideas, and I think I'm going to get my own copy.

The first part of the book is desperately sad in places, and the bad relationship that the author shared with sex at that time is well-explained and fully understood.

What we then have is a very frank, funny, astute and intelligent journey as Holmes explores her own sexuality. At times, the jolly tone and self-depricating humour got on my nerves (the latter is fortunately lost more and more), sometimes all the tantra praising was a bit much and I'd really prefer it if authors didn't feel like they need to equate women with vaginas and men with penisses in every other sentence.
