A really drinkable cocoa gin, not at all sickly or ‘fake’ tasting - you can tell that real cocoa has been used, not flavouring. We were drawn to work on this latest project with Pavel due to his standing up and speaking out against his Russian government, and showing full support for Ukraine. Cocoa nibs and fresh oranges make up this one, and you're right - it will make a superb Espresso Martini. There are flavoured gins and cordial gins, the first being a spirit with a bold secondary flavour (after juniper), and the second being a sort of gin liqueur. INGREDIENTS: Colombian Dark Chocolate (cocoa mass, raw cane sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: SOYA lecithin; flavouring: natural vanilla), (<1%) Juniper Oil, (<1%) Lime Oil, (<1%) Natural gin flavouring. Next we add an array of botanicals from orange blossom to cacao nibs, before resting the gin on fresh orange zest for a wonderfully complex, chocolately, citrus gin. I am always a bit wary of such products (another example being the Earthworm Gin); little information is often provided on the product and they come in unusually small and expensive bottlings. Their dark chocolate bars are very nice and the truffles are very satisfying (for the tummy and the mind). This may be a bit “out there” for many gin fans (there isn’t much juniper, for example), but it is nevertheless quite refreshing.
