I wore that for years (and still have a bottle), and I'd say it's an enjoyable scent that leans Oriental. The heart note of the composition is especially refined: spicy Mediterranean aromas such as pimento, lavender and sage round out a transparent hint of tea, subtle and highly modern. With strong leather and woody tones, this memorable Bentley aftershave will be the ideal addition to any line-up. I don't know, maybe the crown messed up my olfactory perception, but firstly, there are no such notes in the pyramid, and secondly, maybe the fragrance is "off" and doesn't sound right yet.

The fragrance definitely sounds expensive, but for me, it's like a liqueur with a couple of drops of gasoline added. It reminds me of YSL Homme Libre in the beginning with a burst of violet and an earthy undertone that lasts for a decent amount of time actually before switching to Givenchy Gentleman Only with a pinch of Bleu de Chanel.I acknowledge that the fragrance may change over time for me or may need maceration but first impressions are what the general public will get. The Bentley Fragrances perfume collection draws its inspiration from this prestigious world in which leather and wood panelling become a work of art. Breathtakingly good, the kind of good which makes you feel there’s still hope for perfumery – both niche and designer, as Intense easily stands above most of both – and it is somehow rooted into both. I get no incense and little patchouli, I've noticed that fragrances do tend to smell sweeter on me than compared to what many here describe. When people say it's versatile, I think they probably mean that it has a generic air freshener like aspect.

I'm sure sure lots of you will be curious about this as Bentley release good value fragrances and this one looks interesting.

It's a little to boozy for my personal taste sometimes, but it's supposed to be boozy so if you like boozy frags, this is great. I sprayed Bentley for men on one arm and Intense on the other, after 15 minutes there was nothing, zero, nada, bugger all, to seperate the two. It starts out smelling like "Dior - Sauvage" when sprayed, dries down to "Paco Rabanne - XS" at the mid-stage, then shifts to Dylan Blue for the rest of it's active phase. I opened the box, took out the bottle and sprayed it a couple of times on my shirt and once on my wrist.

Has the ambroxany vibe that reminds a little of Dylan Blue but its not that blue to be considered close to it; this is more of a dressed up formal distant cousin that has never met the other. So far I’ve been using them respectively with gourmand, floral/chypre, and sweet/fruity fragrances - especially to make a feminine-leaning fragrance more sexy and masculine (or at least unisex).

Hard to believe it's come out of a car manufacturer, but then again this is what a Bentley driver would smell like. The intense version gets all the love (and I also love that) but I actually find this a bit more wearable. I find that side of it can smell overbearing at times but then it can fade away, its like the notes take turns being at the front lol.

Other members include names like Carven L'Eau Intense, Invictus Aqua, Legend Spirit, Hawas, Dylan Blue, Bleu de Chanel, Sauvage, Eros, Mr Burberry, Icon Racing, Mauboussin Private Club, Oxford Bleu and Bentley Black Edition (and many others perfumes besides a legion of clones). You expect a dark smokey sweet scent, but what it actually smells like is a light "blue" type scent. First he hits you out for alcohol-soaked leather and then he refines it, but I found it to be simple knitting and more a deception about the weaknesses. That being said, I am rather disappointed of the projection and sillage - after two hours it's toned down to a skinscent and after four hours it's completely gone on me - completely! The bottle has the same form as Bentley For Men, with the elegant curves of the Bentley limousine transferred to the rounded silhouette of the bottle. And I should have paid more attention to the reviews and especially the “reminds me of” section above, where I’d have seen Versace, Paco Rabane, Drakkar Noir etc. I also wanted to note that there is a bit of a warm freshness in the opening that doesn't initially seem very "blue," but it doesn't take long for it to turn into that sort of fragrance.
