I always went light with spraying (max 3 sprays) as this is a heavy, strong-projecting and long-lasting beast of a frag. I'm absolutely in love with this stuff, it is a fantastic reminder that men aren't supposed to smell like cake and cookies. The main players(Rum, Leather, and Cinnamon) take the back seat, and splendid Vanilla/Benzoin plus tender Patchouli make the drydown delicious. I've worn it multiple times over the winter despite my doubts (I was kinda forcing it, refusing to accept my "defeat". Bentley’s official blurb:” The fragrance is enriched with incense to lend the composition depth and fullness African geranium adds an elegant aromatic accompaniment to the rich accord.

It all combines to something very masculine, but the smoky incense is just too strong and overpowering for me. The transition of the smell in this fragrance adds class and quality, from the intense woody leathery opening to the alluring boozy middle and finally to the ambery manly late dry-down, at all stages this fragrance is amazing and fun! After the booze starts to fade a bit, it becomes a really classy, mature and masculine fragrance that I actually find quite enjoyable to wear for a chilly night.

This aspect unfortunately makes it, in my opinion also entirely unsuited for woman, even those who care little for gender roles in parfume. I personally think this fragrance should be a no brainer to have in your collection if you just started collectioning fragrances. In my honest opinion, i think it smells like something that an older gentleman would wear, someone about 50+ and someone who is a sugar daddy lol. It seems familiar to me, so maybe I've smelt it on workmates or something, but I wonder whether the sense of familiarity isn't just due to the fact that to me it just smells like a solid, unexceptional scent somewhere in the (admittedly heady) woody oriental area. With the amount of hype surrounding this and people saying it smelled like Lubin, I blind bought it, but I was expecting it to be a little better.

Not surprisingly, then, this is an fragrance that should largely be reserved for cold weather or at least nighttime situations. Didn't expect it to be very similar due to the votes being negative but they have very close similarities. It is here, in the depths of this fragrance, that we discover its soul—a soul that is profound and enduring.

As I sit here with BIT on one hand and a sample of Lubin Idole on the other hand, I don't see the comparison. I remember that he would scent the whole building that we worked in, to the point that many of us would complain !This elixir, my dearest connoisseurs, exudes the most profound and enveloping qualities, akin to a masterpiece of haute couture gracefully sauntering down the runway of our senses.
