I got bored at the halfway point and just wanted questions answered and this just seemed to drag on. She also has to admit that she too was always interested in Atlantis because it was something they bonded over. Overall, the father/daughter feels, beautiful Greek scenery, hunt for Atlantis, and cute romance, made this one a solid addition to the series! Ultimately I did enjoy reading this for the most part, but my expectations may have been higher having enjoyed the previous books so much and I felt the pacing was off and slow at points.I felt like she was flinching away from her dad, flirting but not flirting with the love interest and thinking she knew everything throughout the whole book until the end. As they say themselves, they see themselves as social outcasts at school, which is only amplified by everyone ignoring them and the occasional jerk bullying them. Even so, she can’t help but be charmed by everything Santorini has to offer—the beautiful sunsets, the turquoise water, the sun-drenched villages, and the delicious cuisine. Despite the fact that mine and Maya’s relationship existed primarily on Planet Awkward, I couldn’t help but be excited for her. Her long black hair was in a sleek ponytail, and she held a straining Labrador retriever by its leash.
