Minerva Siegel, Author: Minerva Siegel is the author of Tarot for Self-Care: How to Use Tarot to Manifest Your Best Self. And this card fits very well, even down to Sarah turning her head upside down to get a different perspective of Ludo, seeing as gentle rather then a beast to be feared.

I am not familiar at all with Thoth tarot at all, other than that Strength and Justice are switched. In readings, these cards focus on the faculty and power of intellect, which like the swords themselves, are double-edged. The Magician is usually about having all to tools you need to continue your journey, it is also about manipulating the situation to your will. The trick with a good tarot deck is to find images that are true to their source material and that evoke a reaction from the querent. Brian Froud wrote a book giving many of the characters stories and personalities and Minerva has used those instead. Featuring both the Major and Minor Arcana, the set also comes with a helpful guidebook with explanations of each card's meaning, as well as simple spreads for easy readings. Filled with characters and settings inspired by the beloved Jim Henson film, the Labyrinth Tarot features beautiful engraved illustrations by Tomás Hijo that capture of wonder and magic of its fantastical world. The Minor Arcana (arranged with Court Cards first) have the image and meanings all on the same page, so the image is smaller.

Characters from Jim Henson’s beloved classic Labyrinth try their hand at tarot in this whimsical take on a traditional 78-card tarot deck, which reimagines Jareth, Sarah, Hoggle, and other denizens of Goblin City in original illustrations based on classic tarot iconography. Though the physical body has limitations, there’s freedom and power in fully tapping into our own magickal potential. And to quote Galavant, "You should never start a marriage with a kidnapping", or in this case, a kidnapping and then a roofieing. The lid fits down over it from the top, and although you can't see it in that picture, the owl and the word Labyrinth are slightly raised. These cards follow a storyline that tells of the spiritual travels taken from the innocent wonder of The Fool to the oneness and fulfillment of The World. One day I’m going to embrace anarchy, take the cards I like best from every deck, and shuffle them together.
