Description

Before he gets the infamous name of Captain Hook, he is simply James, a wealthy young man from a privileged family who dreams of doing more with his life and going on grand adventures. I was ready for a great pirate adventure with my favorite captain and at first, that’s exactly what I got. Although everyone she knows fears him and is pledged to destroy him, Mina sees a side to him that the others cannot. Then they reach Japan and all her suffering seems worthwhile until she is abducted by Taro Kumashiro's warriors. Six hundred years old, the secrets of her construction long forgotten, the massive vessel dwarfs every other sailing craft in the world.

The fifth installment of Valentino's Villains series retells the story of Mother Gothel, the old witch who kept Rapunzel in a tower.

As heir to a title and great wealth, Will Masterson should have stayed home and tended his responsibilities.

But when Sera is chosen as the sacrifice to break the tether, she feels betrayed by everything in which she’d been taught to trust. Mais ça reste un roman jeunesse, les scènes d’action sont rapides et tout s’enchaîne un peu trop vite à mon sens par moments. Depending on the age it’s meant for, I obviously understand the story isn’t going to delve into certain things.Il va étudier à fond pour tout connaître sur l’univers de la piraterie dans le but d’intégrer un équipage et de voguer vers le Pays Imaginaire. Young Owen Hardy from the village of Barrel Arbor dreams of seeing the big city and the breathtaking Clockwork Angels that dispense wisdom to the people, maybe even catching a glimpse of the Watchmaker himself. Disney's New York Times best-selling Villains series comes to life in this graphic novel adaptation of the book that started it all in this tragic tale of love and loss, the untold story of Snow White's Wicked Queen. That said, the Book of Fairy Tales provides an exciting umbrella to the Villains series and introduction to Never Never.

I feel like the “becoming a villain” parts of these books are so rushed they almost feel fake or unbelievable. But Barnum has never given up a money-making scheme in his life, and he's determined to hold on to his mermaid.Remember there are always two sides to every story and that person you think is evil may be who you least expect it. I didn't read yet the other books by this series but you totally can understand this story without ever reading the other ones. As an Extraordinary she is respected and feared, but to her father she represents power and prestige for himself. Still, if it wasn’t going to get into anything too dark or complex, it could’ve had a little more excitement or something.

I had a lot of trouble making sense of these conniving witches, the Odd Sisters, which I assume is because I haven't read the other 9 books in this series, but it seemed like a real stretch. Huge thank you to Serena Valentino herself for sending me this book ahead of time and writing amazing books that bring communities together! When their father left them as young girls, he took what was left of their family's fortune and their mother's dignity with him.The tenth book in the New York Times bestselling Villains series takes a dive into the Underworld, exploring how Hades turned from god to villain. Despite the book being based, at least in part, in Neverland, it wasn't until the Odd Sisters were part of the conversation that I felt any real magic about what was happening. On Blackbeard's ship he learns to be a cutthroat pirate, and eventually becomes captain of his own ship, which James is determined to sail to Neverland.
