The slight smoke from the aroma does appear in the midpalate, along with very slight black pepper, but it’s the oak that really pops out and begins to take over the fruit, pushing the whisky off balance. Under his stewardship, the House of Walker began blending whisky and bottling it in an iconic, square bottle adorned with a slanted label.
