Most significant is that the HomeCare suite now includes Antivirus and QoS and Parental Controls, which are also available in the Archer AX3000. All these three are among the best of their type. They look the same from the top, front, and side angles. You have to flip them up or look at them from behind to see any differences. USB 3.0 and built-in Antivirus Press the button for 1 second, and immediately press the WPS button on your client to start the WPS process. Sluit meer apparaten aan — OFDMA-technologie verhoogt de capaciteit tot 4 keer om gelijktijdige overdracht naar meerdere apparaten mogelijk te maken. Saving clients' battery power requires clients to also support the 802.11ax Wi-Fi standard. Actual power reduction may vary as a result of network conditions, client limitations, and environmental factors.

Wi-Fi 6 Technology Featuring Intel: Wi-Fi 6 technology achieves up to 3x faster speeds, higher capacity and lower latency compared to the previous generation of Wi-Fi 5 while Intel's dual-core CPU ensures your experience is smooth and buffer-free. The Archer AX50’s speed of 689Mbps on the 5GHz close-proximity test was again faster than the D-Link DIR LX-1870 (569Mbps) and the Linksys MR7350 (662Mbps), but slightly behind the D-Link DIR-X1560 (712Mbps). That said, its speed of 231Mbps on the 30-foot test took top honors. Similarly, you can also change the router's channel and channel bandwidth. By the way, the router supports the 160 MHz channels, which is always a big deal for a Wi-Fi 6 router -- many other more expensive routers, like the AmpliFi Alien, don't. Standard network settings, VPN server Up to 75% lower latency ” is based on lab simulation data of 802.11ax with and without OFDMA using 9 clients. Average latency without OFDM is 36ms, with OFDMA average latency is reduced to 7.6ms. Latency improvement requires that the AP and all clients support OFDMA.Zeer lage latentie — tot 75% lagere latentie zorgt dat je sneller kunt reageren in games en de kwaliteit van videochats beter is. The TP-Link Archer AX50 ran a bit warm during my testing, which lasted more than a week. I wouldn't worry about that, however. As long as you leave it in the open, which you should do anyway with any Wi-Fi router, it's unlikely the router will have heat-related issues. Similarly Slow NAS performance

One “problem” with Wi-Fi 6 is that some older devices may not be able to “see” Wi-Fi 6 networks. This is the case with all routers with support for this standard. If this happens to you, update the drivers for the network cards inside your computers. If that doesn’t work either, you can always set the router to use the Wi-Fi 5 standard alongside Wi-Fi 6, or set the 2.4 GHz band to use only the older Wi-Fi 4 standard, which works with all devices. The router can work as an access point, transforming your existing wired network to a wireless one. Intel en het Intel-logo zijn handelsmerken van Intel Corporation of zijn dochterondernemingen in de Verenigde Staten en/of andere landen. Moreover, it is simple and convenient to set up and use the TP-Link router due to its intuitive web interface and the powerful Tether app. That still translates to a perfectly usable connection throughout the house. Even 4K video streaming over Wi-Fi 5 should be fine in most locations, and overall the AX50 proved faster than our recommended Honor Router 3.

The AX50’s wireless specifications meanwhile are promising, if not exceptional. Its 5GHz radio is rated at 2,402Mbits/sec with the use of 160MHz channels, and 4×4 MU-MIMO helps compatible clients maximise their transfer speeds. This amendment defines standardized modifications to both the IEEE 802.11 physical layers (PHY) and the IEEE 802.11 Medium Access Control layer (MAC) that enable at least one mode of operation capable of supporting at least four times improvement in the average throughput per station (measured at the MAC data service access point) in a dense deployment scenario while maintaining or improving the power efficiency per station. The software side is more ambitious. The AX53 runs TP-Link’s standard router firmware, with largely the same set of features as the company’s flagship models. This means you get not just port forwarding and QoS controls but also some surprisingly advanced options, such as IPv6 and ALG configuration. Those wanting to really take control of their network can configure up to four VLANs and set up static routing. A final feature worth mentioning is OneMesh, which lets you pair the AX53 with other TP-Link routers to create an extended network. It’s a tempting option for a router like this, as it means you can grow your network organically by adding low-cost extenders as needed, while retaining the convenience of managing everything from a single dashboard.

Please refer to the FAQ How to use PPTP VPN to access your home network through the Wi-Fi Routers (new logo)? You can combine its two bands into a single network via Smart Connect or use them as two separate SSIDs. There are options to set each band to work in the compatibility mode (Auto) or a certain Wi-Fi standard -- Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, or Wi-Fi 6. Here's the TP-Link Archer AX50 next to the Netgear RAX40. TP-Link Archer AX50: The same standard web user interface and optional mobile appOn the 2.4 GHz band, the AX50's performance was even more impressive. It was among the fastest I've seen. However, this was likely because there was less interference in the vicinity during my testing, for some reason. For years, this band has been fluctuating quite wildly in my tests. The AX53 clearly comes from the same stable as the older Archer AX50. The physical design is pretty much identical and the core specifications are the same, too: four antennas support 4×4 MU-MIMO with a maximum speed of 2.4Gbits/sec on the 5GHz band and a respectable 574Mbits/sec over the 2.4GHz radio. Like its predecessor, the AX53 also supports the wide 160MHz channel width to maximise bandwidth.
