You could really build a mental image of Sparadise and what each of the characters looked like and how they acted. For me it was my first book from this author really liked the writing style and the story line of this book. I would have given it 5 stars but there is just to many characters, they was kind of need to make the story but for me just to many.I couldn't get enough of Bridgette, Emily, Serena and Marjory who all have epiphanies of their own during the course of the book, while staying at Sparadise. I happily enjoyed face masks, foot spa and sipped green tea whilst reading this book – whilst the four ladies entertained me and encountered so much more! I guess its a ‘coming of age’ book but for the older gen and if it’s your kind of read you will be in stitches and love it, I really enjoyed it When I read the blurb about 3 women in their 60s setting off on a cruise, I knew I had to read this book, especially as I’m almost there myself. The Cruise is the first book I have read by Caroline James and I can definitely say it won’t be my last.
