About this deal

One thing I hated was when Ruby started telling Mara the secret about the CCTV camera at Monty’s, Euan had trusted Ruby with that and I absolutely hated the face that she ruined his trust. Most definitely a Euan Stan.

Adamma isn't too impressed to be leaving her life in New York for an exclusive English boarding school. But then she meets Scarlett and the two strike up an intense friendship. Freddie Prinze Jr. Says He Hasn't 'Received an Offer' for I Know What You Did Last Summer Sequel (Exclusive)". Toofab. March 10, 2023 . Retrieved 2023-03-13.

Excellent stuff and I’ve just added another book by McGowan to my TBR list, if it’s half as good as this one, it’ll be enjoyable. I Know What You Did Last Summer was a screenplay written by Kevin Williamson several years beforehand, which was then rushed into production by Columbia Pictures upon the success of the Williamson-written Scream (1996). [10] It was based on the 1973 novel of the same name by Lois Duncan, a youth-oriented suspense novel about four young people who are involved in a hit-and-run accident involving a young boy. [11] Producer Erik Feig pitched the idea of a screen adaptation to Mandalay Entertainment, and subsequently appointed Williamson to retool the core elements of Duncan's novel, rendering a screenplay more akin to a 1980s slasher film [4] [11] Inspired by his father, who had been a commercial fisherman, Williamson changed the setting of the novel to a small fishing village, and made the villain a hook-wielding fisherman. [6] There are two storylines connected by the main character, Rachel. The story begins with Rachel finding the body of her boyfriend's ex-wife's murdered in the woods. She instantly becomes the prime suspect. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Rachel has experienced it. Years ago, when her name was Casey, she moved to Los Angeles as a babysitter for the Safrans. In a tragic turn of events, the entire family except the youngest child was brutally murdered, and Casey was found guilty of the crime. She always claimed to be innocent. So we're trying to find out not only who murdered her boyfriend's ex-wife, but also what happened twenty years ago in Los Angeles and whether Rachel/Casey is truly innocent. I Know You, by Claire McGowan is my first foray into this author’s work – it’s a wonderful 4.5-star effort. I was considering giving it 5-stars but, I need to have some wriggle room if any subsequent reads by McGowan are better. Yes, this was that good!

Author Guy Bass introduces SCRAP, about one robot who tried to protect the humans on his planet against an army of robots. Now the humans need his...After repeatedly refusing offers of help from the school newspaper editor Scott, she is stunned one day to find out that a student who has been giving her a bad time is suddenly found dead in the sports hall, and she was the last person to see him alive. With the school's CCTV system broken and most significantly a motive, Ruby immediately becomes the prime suspect. The incident in Ruby’s past is bad - but it definitely seems a tragic accident. Unfortunately, someone seems to believe otherwise and this appears to be behind some awful events taking place at her new school. The characters are well written and I really felt for Ruby and what she was going through and riled by others like Monique, and the relationship between Ruby and Euan was touching to see develop being a contrast to the taught drama of the rest of the book - and that's great writing! Also watching how people were manipulated by other students was fascinating and again, some readers may relate to this issue and be reminded they can do something about this.

Ruby's relationship with Mara is one of the highlights of the book, even though it is much too good to be true. Mara is one of many intriguing and well developed supporting characters, making the act of predicting the identity of the killer all the more exciting. For example, Euan is very kind and supportive with the nice little twist of his brother being one of the teachers, and despite being slightly irritating, Scott is well written and adds a lot to the story. Now she’s petrified someone knows about the death of young girl she caused many years ago and the incident she ran away from is following her. The Casey Anthony case meets the Jon-Benet Ramsey case in this suspenseful, well-written thriller by Claire McGowan. But what would happen if a child-killer like the one who killed Jon-Benet was exonerated on appeal, grew up, changed her name, and then stumbled upon another murder way too close to home? Did someone discover who she was and try to frame her? And was she actually innocent of the original crime? I Know What You Did Last Summer 20 years on". Digital Spy. 17 October 2017. Archived from the original on 2020-11-24 . Retrieved 2021-07-02. I felt the end was a lil bit of a reach... Maybe more than a lil bit. Overall, I was hooked by the exploration of familicide and challenging the theory "where there's smoke, there's fire."

A girl, a secret, a new school… and murder! This was a really great thriller and I enjoyed it a lot! Rachel discovers a dead body in the woods and immediately panics and runs from the scene. This is not the first time she has found a dead body and last time didn't work out well with her being accused of murder. This time the victim is her boyfriends estranged wife and Rachel knows she will be the prime suspect. She ignores obvious tells and clues; when she unearths clues that jeopardizes her lover's alibi, she dismisses them and blames the errors on the witness. At first the book came across as just one of those boring high school things but as i continued to read a lot more made sense. I didn’t know how to feel when Mara was introduced I thought I liked her but I was sort of unsure. In the end I knew I should’ve hated her. I was also a massive fan of Georgia at the start but I did suspect her to be the killer- which she was- but I didn’t think she would’ve don’t that to Jim. It all builds to an electrifying climax that will have you holding your breath as you read... Will Ruby make it out alive?

I also think that it was quite stupid that a mass majority of the school thought that Ruby was the killer- I mean just because she accidentally killer someone when she was four doesn’t mean she would do it again right?
