If you like armies full of massive fiends, like the incredible Lauka Vai we recently revealed during Warhammer Fest, you can’t go wrong with the Avengorii. They’re even able to take Terrorgheists and Zombie Dragons as battleline units… feel free to imagine the look on your opponent’s face. As legend has it, the disc of his shield, Tuskbreaker, earned its name by chipping Gorkamorka’s tooth. We love it because it’s got a stylised picture of Kragnos on it, including the shield itself.

The Avengorii are known for many strange rituals intended to feed their monstrous nature. Other vampires look upon these with bewilderment and disdain but the lords of the dynasty are too deranged, seeing their trials as holy acts they endure to achieve true communion with their so-called ‘curse’. [3a] Miniatures can be painted using the Citadel Colour System that offers both classic and contrast methods so that you can bring your miniatures to life. Unleash your creativity with these water-based paints designed specifically for Warhammer miniatures. Including a vibrant and metallic range of colours so that you can achieve amazing results! Lauka Vai Mother Of Nightmares Components They can harness death magic to conjure bleak squalls that belch forth showers of festering gore or even transmute entire freshwater lakes into turgid, bloody ooze. As such, lands claimed by a Vengorian Lord will - if not already arid and barren - will inevitably succumb to desiccation and drought. But in he selfish mind of a Vengorian, if this prevents them from having to gaze upon the ruin of their ambition, they consider it a fair trade. [1a] Sources Par šo šķirni var droši teikt, gan liels gan ražīgs, gan garšīgs, ar izteiktu tomāta garšu, turklāt miltaini. Vengorian Lords emerge from their lairs only to lead crusades of spiteful retribution, a manifestation of their self-hate. While some claim to be the truest and most beautiful of vampires, privately all but the most demented recognise that they are little better than the wretched abhorrants of the Flesh-Eater Courts or other degenerate Beasts of the Grave. [1a]The Kastelai are the most warlike and martial-minded of the vampire dynasties. These vampires reside in the Crimson Keep, a magical castle that has a tendency to translocate from place to place. They have a strong preference for mounted warriors, all the better for catching up to the fortress when they get left behind.

Avengorii vampires have long since abandoned even the pretence of humanity, entirely surrendering to the raging beast within and supped deeply upon powerful ending-magics. Alongside Vargheists and bloated corpse-monsters, these Gravelords give in to their unnatural impulses to feast upon gore and spread utter desolation. Unlike the Vyrkos, the Avengorii does not restrain their monstrous aspect and unlike other dynasties the majority are not generals, knights or connoisseurs but ravening abominations. [3a] Radukar the Beast is explicitly introduced as a returned, shapeshifted form of the villainous vampire Radukar the Wolf, the Big Bad of Warhammer Quest: Cursed City. Despite nominally being killed by the players at the climax of Cursed City’s main quest, we now know Radukar survives, gets hench, and “bides his time prowling Shyish and plotting revenge”. War makes for strange alliances – and so it is for the free city of the Colonnade, which must turn to the Mother of Nightmares and her dynasty of monsters to defend themselves against the hordes of Chaos… Blood Knights are the next fan favourite. Elite cavalry adept at swift movement and charging enemy flanks, they’ll sit nicely in any Soulblight army, and will be relied upon to deliver the hard-hitting punches. The Kastelai Dynasty makes particularly effective use of them, fielding the knights as battleline units and boosting their damage against Hero and Monster targets. Queen of the Avengorii dynasty, Lauka Vai represents all the best features of her vampiric followers: a monstrous physique so warped it grants her the unmatched strength of a beast. Originally a monster-hunting knight, a chance encounter with prime splicer Tzeentch left her a half undead-bat-drake-monster, perpetually torn between the primal instincts of her monstrous half and noble origins.

As it turns out, rumours of Radukar the Wolf’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. Now known as the Beast, his animal rage has been unleashed. He bides his time prowling Shyish and plotting revenge. Swollen with power and corrupted in form, he has retained his animal cunning, lust for power, and thirst for blood (and that wolf-pelt cloak, which honestly fits better now).
