After disconnecting and defrosting, clean the fridge using a soft cloth and warm (not hot), weak solution of bicarbonate of soda. Finally, wipe over with a cloth and plain water and finish with a dry cloth. If something has left a strong odour in the fridge which washing alone cannot shift, try making a paste out of the bicarbonate of soda and water, and smear this in the refrigerator and leave overnight. Rinse off with warm water, clean and dry - this should cure the problem. Winter operation Yes, you can continue to return items as normal as long as you follow the government guidelines about leaving your house.

We still like the van and think it is the best option. It will just be what else they damage trying to put this lot right. Ferry crossings A +1 for De-Ox powder and Gell from me for my old motorbike and other rusty stuff, however I also use Citric Acid ( the base ingredient of De-Ox ) and cheaper, it just takes a bit longer, it's none toxic and can be tipped down a drain.IF they arrive I will never travel with anything on the shelves. Thetford Deluxe Line & Premium LCD Line Caravan fridgesThetford offers two lines of absorption fridges: the Deluxe line and the Premium LCD line. Well, after e mails to Dometic uk and Bailey I seem to be getting somewhere. I have had replies from both in a day.Having the fridge fuller or more empty makes no difference. It is not useable even on relatively cool days. Goodness knows what it will be like on sunny hot days? For Dometic and Thetford refrigerators, a winter cover is available to fit over the ventilator grilles. This can be used when the refrigerator is being run on gas as well as mains. However, this may not be the case with other manufacturers' covers - if in doubt consult your dealer or caravan manufacturer. The covers help to control the performance of the refrigerator in cold conditions and should ideally be fitted when the outside (ambient) temperature is below 10ºC (50ºF) for Dometic refrigerators and below 8ºC (46ºF) for Thetford refrigerators. They should be removed when not required, otherwise the performance of the refrigerator could be adversely affected, particularly in warm weather. Servicing Cooling on gas instead of mains makes no difference to rate of cooling or maintenance of temperatures. So your enjoyment of your cosy caravan or motor home won't be disturbed.

Get the most from your caravan's generatorIf you travel to locations where electricity hook-ups are not available, a Dometic generator can be a very welcome accessory for your caravan.
