He’s forward and she’s shy; they always find a way to communicate their misunderstandings. Halfway through the drama, our relationship flips! It’s Ding Xian actively pursuing Zhou Si Yue, slaughtering his tender heart with her cute bravery. Last third of the drama, the drama flips again and it’s Zhou Si Yue pursuing Ding Xian! I don’t see how a romance drama can fail when both of them are so cute and so active and so flirtatious in their pursuit of one another. Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian hid their feelings for many years. I guess that was what “Our Secret” was all about. They had to keep it to themselves because they were students and they had a bigger goal ahead of them. Also, they understand that their parents put so many expectations on them, that they can’t ignore them.She knew that Ding Xian was more talented and hardworking compared to her brother, so she pushed her hard and even made decisions for her. But she spoiled her brother, to the point it irritates Ding Xian. If you watch enough Chinese drama, you might often find this type of mother everywhere…😠 Zhou Si Yue and His Family Book Genre: Adult, Clean Romance, Contemporary, Contemporary Romance, Fiction, Humor, Music, Musicians, New Adult, Romance the ML was portrayed splendid, props to the actor. he wasn't oblivious but seemed to get along with people around him quite well unlike other leads who act like they are allergic to humans or whatever. no super rich high school 'chaebol' heir so it makes the viewers easy to empathize. the way he looks at the FL melts me uwu. he really set the bar high for a "boy in love".

It was a good weekend when I watched this Our Secret drama. No complicated story, no characters such as green tea or white lotus or Mary sue, just an ordinary student and an ordinary world. There’s no need to frown while watching Our Secret drama, unlike other dramas that make you frown for the whole episode. You’ll be saving a few drops of your retinol serum…😂 The dream high school experience. When watching this, I can't help but feel envious of their high school experience. I think it is clear that Our Secret will easily resonate with the younger viewers especially those who are still studying or have just left school. This is simply because the story is very typical of what a teenager would face in real life. However, for the older viewers, this might be a tad draggy. Their high school life spans 15 episodes which means if you don’t enjoy high school romances, this would not be as engaging. It is different from Forever Love which has a much shorter school life arc and a more matured couple. Si Yue is a top student at school. He is a very intelligent guy with a talent in maths. He is also into programming and robotics. Although Si Yue is not the sociable type, he has many admirers due to his good looks and intelligence. Si Yue’s father is a professor at a prestigious university while his mother is a housewife. Ding Xian Rewatch and rewatch Never expected this drama to be so good. Everybody has such good chemistry and the plot is so good. Bear in mind that this is a school/youth genre, so don't expect too much crazy plot twists or strong villains. The characters are written in a way that matches real life with their flaws. Yet, they do not end up being annoying. Instead, they easily entice viewers to root for them. There is also room for growth as they mature to become adults. In short, the main characters are not one-dimensional but have depth to their personalities. My Verdict – Engaging For The Young Ding Xian is an obedient child. She took her mother’s words seriously and really cared for her father. She also cares for her younger brother even though he’s a bit annoying to me…😝

Al and Bridge are what I dreamed one day I would have. But never happened. Al kept herself as a bookish girl, I was the tomboy. Sha Di is Ding Xian’s best friend and classmate at school. She has known Zi Qi since they were kids and has feelings for him. Su Bo Cong / Senior Su Besides the storyline, there was a thing that I liked about Our Secret. The chemistry between our main leads and the supporting actors was good. I like to see the interaction between Zhou Si Yue and Song Zi Qi. They were so natural. Moreover, I found that Chen Zhe Yuan and Xu Meng Jie’s acting and chemistry were also good. I adored them when they were in high school. They were soooo sweet…😍

I really like this drama. Our Secret was heartwarming and reminded me of my high school years. It was the best time of my life, as well as the most confusing time. I think both the leads did a great job in portraying their characters. Chen Zhe Yuan seems like a natural fit as Si Yue with his smirks and air of indifference. Si Yue’s character is not cold and arrogant but neither is he friendly and warm. He is somewhere in between. Chen Zhe Yuan manages to give Si Yue this balance so that he appears just like the typical boy next door.

In short, if you like youth dramas, this should be one of the better ones to watch. There are no cheesy cliches like those found in My Unicorn Girl. Neither does it weigh you down with plenty of melodrama like in Go Ahead. There are sad moments but nothing so dramatic that an ordinary high school student is unable to overcome. The couple is cute and this is what most viewers would be looking for in a youth drama like this one. Simple But Realistic Plot Ding Xian also joined the same research project group, just to be near him. She forced herself to be with him, and she lost herself along the way. Zhou Si Yue noticed that. Hence, he tried to make her understand by rejecting her over and over again, even making it difficult for her during the research project.
