Clancy and Hitch both share the second spot for great character. I really liked them both. Clancy for how great of a friend he is, for how he is always there for Ruby. Of course at times he gets angry, which is logical given Ruby's consistent record of getting somewhere late. But he and Ruby often discuss cases, or puzzles, and together they find out what is going on. I really liked how Clancy didn't immediately thought it was Ruby when he was called to the principal. Instead he went on to find who did all those things to make Ruby a suspect. Even later when things start to get heated, he doesn't wait and cower, he just jumps right in. The characters are excellente. They are amazingly orchestrated and the banter between all the characters was hilarious. What was refreshing was the bond between Clancy & Ruby. No. Let me guess, Romance? Nope, it's not. It's pure friendship. No, the antagonists have my respects. They were likeable, a bit dramatic, but awesome!

The Ruby Redfort series by Lauren Child, 2011-2014. I read the first two of six total books. The first four are titled Look Into My Eyes, Take Your Last Breath, Catch Your Death, and Feel the Fear. The other two titles are not yet released, but will be in the next couple years. Lauren Child is such a great author, I recommend this book to those who like mystery novels, adventure books and an interesting read. Spectrum is a top secret spy agency, and Ruby is about to become one of their newest recruits. But it isn't easy to keep her new profile away from her best friend, Clancy, who soon notices a change when Ruby's family get a new butler (ruby's bodyguard in disguise). Although Ruby's job is a desk agent looking for clues in a recently dead Agent Lopez's documents, she figures out that Lopez wanted a bit more of the action. The Ruby Redfort books are written by bestselling author Lauren Child. Child is most famous for the Charlie and Lola books and TV series and her books have won multiple awards including Smarties Prize (four times), the Kate Greenaway Medal and the Red House Children’s Book Award. Lauren Child first introduced the character of Ruby Redfort in her three award-winning Clarice Bean novels, fans begged her to develop Ruby’s story and a new series was born. The villains names are all cheesy and corny. Count von Viscount, Lorelei von Leyden, Babyface Marshall. I am definitely curious to other criminals, do they all have such cheesy names?

There was one thing I didn't particularly like and that was how some of the conversations suddenly went italic. It was a bit confusing, one moment you would be reading normal and then italics. And it didn't happen with each conversation, so eh. THIS IS THE BEST DETECTIVE BOOK EVER WRITTEN!! It contains codes, thefts, kidnapping, snooping and a huge amount of sarcasm😂 And the best thing is that it is a middle grade!!❤️❤️ The thing is… I love Lauren Child. Love her. I know I already said that, but there is something (or many somethings) that I really like about her and her style and her voice. From her children’s book illustrations to the spunky attitude of all her characters, I have been caught by the whole shebang hook, line, and sinker. So perhaps its not for everyone, but it is for me. And it is for plenty of people. Especially Brits? Maybe. But Charlie and Lola hold their own here in the US. Hey, buster! Normal life is a total yawn. So break out of boredom with multi-million-copy bestselling author Lauren Child, and meet your new favourite heroine… Ruby Redfort: detective, secret agent, thirteen-year-old kid. I loved how everything came together in the end. How even some things I didn't expect had something to do with the bigger picture! It was definitely a moment that made me go AH!! and look startled. I won't spoil what all those things are of course or what the bigger picture is in the end, you will have to read on your own.

what do you do when you don't feel well and have lots of homework hanging over you? read ruby redfort. Yes it is a kids book... but I used to read clarice bean as a child and I couldnt miss this new series! I used to be a big fan of Charlie and Lola when I was little, then as I got older I’d started to read Clarice Bean. In the Clarice Bean books, Clarice is a big fan of a secret spy agent 'Ruby Redfort' I had always wondered about this young spy, and the adventures she had. Clarice thought she was brilliant. Now I have to agree with her!Verán estos libros yo los encontré por casualidad en remate en una feria del libro, como las portadas me llamaron mucho la atención ls compre sin saber de qué se trataba la historia, pero como lo he dicho es buena la historia. Another great instalment to the Ruby Redfort series! To think that it is the supposed second-to-last novel! Child has also written 3 other books to the series, 'Take Your Last Breath' and 'Catch Your Death' and 'Feel The Fear,’ Available soon. Lauren Child MBE is an English author and illustrator. She was the UK Children's Laureate from 2017-19.

A quote I liked was one of Ruby's rules : "Even the mundane can tell a story." I liked this quote because I thought it was a very useful rule. I thought that maybe I should pay more attention to mundane things and piece them together to make a story like Ruby does. I really enjoyed this book as it is very cleverly written, because you feel you are finding the clues with Ruby. The plot has a lot of different stories included in it, which makes it unexpected and leaves you on the edge of your seat. I would recommend for ages 10+ I think you may be getting too into your cover story,” said Ruby, her nose in the refrigerator, searching for the juice. Another scene was when Ruby pointed out that Clancy, her best friend, used the word ‘sweethearts’ in an ‘old lady-type’ of way. I really don’t care, just let him say that. He’s still awesome! Just because he used ‘sweethearts’ in a different ‘uncool’ context, doesn’t mean you need to point it out! Yeah, she already believes you’re a butler; you don’t need to make out you’re the best entire one to ever polish on this earthly universe of Twinford.”The mystery was incredible. It was well-thought out. Trust me, it isn't your normal "Oh no! A mystery! Who did it?" kind of thing. anyway, i can imagine that this book could be very appealing to my twelve-year-old self, so probably any twelve to thirteen-year-old right now can find it interesting.
