Smug Smiler: His other favorite expression. He smirks at nearly everyone and everything, usually when he's being intimidating or showy with his wealth or power. facts about a Japanese gem, manga, would be a big loss for you. There are many reasons why there are The First Night With the Duke started as a web novel written by Hwang Dotol. The manhwa adaptation by Teava and MSG began publishing on Webtoon in in English on July 7th, 2020, and concluded its original run on April 10th, 2022. A side story published soon after on April 24th, 2022, and concluded on August 9th, 2022. The manhwa's upcoming print edition will be released in English by NETCOMICS on August 15th, 2023.

No he leído muchos manhwas con reencarnaciones, pero dentro de mi corta experiencia puedo decir que este es de los mejores que he leído.There are dozens of webtoons that portray crimes, abuse etc. for the sake of the plot but not a SINGLE ONE has romanticised it to this extent. The bright colors, the protag's inner "admiration"& side characters pitting them together? What the actual hell?? In other webtoons with crime portrayal you can at least tell that it's wrong e.g. through an inner voice or side characters confronting them (e.g. "Not Even Bones" while both of the protags were doing awful things, they still showed signs of regret — or even when they didn't, it was still evident that it was wrong) so the main draw is from the characters and how they play with the meta without it getting too complicated and contradicting the characters’ motives.

I turned toward the low voice and saw a ridiculously handsome man staring at me. Well, I had an awful lot to think about. I was beginning to suspect I’d lost my virginity in a novel instead of in real life, which was a big problem in and of itself. More importantly, though, I didn’t even know who I’d done it with. In the book, the baron’s daughter just so happens to meet the incredibly handsome but wildly possessive duke, just so happens to get trapped in a confined space with him, just so happens to hear his very heartbreaking childhood story, and just so happens to fall in love with him; and of course, the jealous villainess nearly kills her, but the duke just so happens to find out about it, and the two confirm their feelings for each other and live happily ever after. It was a typical romance fantasy novel—a novel in which every scene was connected through pure coincidence, with the male lead’s hotness and the female lead’s kindness being the only things holding the story together. That kind of novel. Yandere: Was this way towards Etoile in the original story; he didn’t love so much as he desired her in a twisted, obsessive way. With Ripley, he’s still possessive and prone to jealousy, but Ripley figures out how to get around his “obsessive hero” mode (mostly through flattery and affirmations).

Then you must be…” I gulped, terrified that I might be right. The heir to the main character’s family could only be one person. No, we should have stopped! I had no idea what was happening, but we definitely should have stopped! His blond hair looked like someone had intentionally styled it to look sexy, in a very “I just woke up” kind of way. He also had the kindest blue eyes—ones you wouldn’t expect from a one-night stand. Bed Mate Reveal: Ripley wakes up to find a hot blonde dude watching her sleep in the same bed, and she realizes that they spent the night together in his mansion. Where the story shines is with its comedy. Already mentioned the pretty art but all of the comedic expressions are great and really add to the frequent bits. Though I didn't find most of it laugh out loud funny I'm still really impressed with the well-executed dialogue and art.

It was a lovely ball. Beautiful ladies and handsome gentlemen were enjoying the music and dancing in perfect harmony. Death Glare: One of his favorite expressions. Either you’ve done something bad and now he’s going to punish you, or Lord Wright is with Ripley again (it’s always a misunderstanding though). And why were all my memories full of naked bodies? There were so many beautiful things at that party in the book; why did I only remember naked bodies? Zeronis also experiences this during the last mini-arc of the story. After Wright points out that he never made a proper wedding proposal to Ripley, Zeronis becomes awkward at the mention of his wedding, something Ripley finds out of character.

Etoile de Harley

Men Are Childish: Zeronis often acts like a clingy boy when it comes to Ripley. One of the best ways to get on his good side is to frequently compliment him or Ripley. Ripley herself calls him ‘adorable’ when he acts like this and compares the younger Prince Chris to him (to his displeasure). When a side character ends up in bed with the male lead, can everyone still live happily ever after? What Did I Do Last Night?: The plot begins with Ripley waking up in Duke Zeronis' bedroom, having no recollection of what happened the night before at Etoile's birthday party, only that she possibly slept with the Duke. She learns bits and pieces of what happened over the course of the story.

No matter how hard I thought about it, I couldn’t escape the fact that I had possessed a character in a novel. The title of the novel was none other than The Flower of Erenel, which I had just read—or should I say, re-read, for maybe the zillionth time—a few days ago. I was sure of it, seeing as how there was a baron’s daughter with an unfortunate past here.Everybody Loves Blondes: Applies to Erenel's entire society; the novel's author adored blond hair and made most of his major characters blonde. Ripley, Sylvia, Wright, and Archen's king and prince are exceptions to this trope. Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: Rose believes she’s the only one for Zeronis, when in reality he sees her as nothing more than another noblewoman vying for his affections. To be honest, I didn’t even know I was inside a novel. I just thought, Oh, I must be dreaming. It wasn’t possible for me, someone who lived in a closet-like studio apartment, to be lying on this fluffy bed with flowy curtains. His smirk could only mean one thing. I looked at his sexy smile and thought to myself, I’m screwed.
