About this deal

On shrubs and roses to produce more flowers and healthier leaves, vegetables to produce bigger crops, and on lawns to make them greener and healthier. In conifers, it can be used to produce healthier leaves. It is recommended that you apply it evenly at the roots below, preferable when the soil or compost is moist. Once applied, you will need to lightly hoe the produce onto the surface and if it is dry to water it in. Shop bough fertilisers contain an N-P-K formula consisting of N for nitrogen, P for phosphorous and K for potash. A good fertiliser will also contain trace elements essential for plant growth. Vitax Q4+ is a progression from the original fertiliser. This contains mycorrhizal fungi and is ideal when planting. These fungi develop into a mycelium which forms an association with the plant’s roots increasing the roots’ ability to absorb water and nutrients, so aiding establishment. Vitax Q4+ can also be used in growing media to promote strong root growth and development.

Apply 200 g/m2 (6 oz/sq yd) before planting in soil. Spread 35 g/m2 (1 oz/sq yd) as a regular feed at 3-4 week intervals. To get the best results from this product apply the fertiliser evenly to the soil, preferably when the soil is wet. Q4 All Purpose Plant Food is perfect to use on roses, prior to planting. For established bushes it can be applied as a top dressing in the spring.

Remember applying too much fertilizer can be detrimental as applying too little. I have used Q4 for a while in my garden and my containers with great success.
