Catnip Hydrosol ( Nepeta cataria) (Cats LOVE this hydrosol! Just a spritz or two is enough to send them into kitty heaven!)

Witch Hazel Distillate is all water and completely water soluble. Witch Hazel with 14% alcohol is also completely water soluble. Remember, water and oil don’t mix! The alcohol proof and percentage is too low to be an effective solubilizer for essential oils. Please note: the information below is based the assumption that each ingredient would be used ‘as is’ and not as a minor ingredient in a formulated product. Always bare in mind safety maximums for specific essential oils! Patchouli essential oil serves as a natural insect repellent, renowned for its distinctive properties. It contains compounds such as patchoulol, which emit a unique earthy and musky aroma that repels insects. The scent of patchouli essential oil acts as a powerful deterrent, particularly against mosquitoes, ants, and other unwanted pests. 11. Peppermint Essential Oil ( Mentha x piperita)IMPORTANT NOTE: I’m also not the biggest fan of adding essential oils on freshly shaved armpits, or just armpits in general really. Essential oils can be irritating for some people, and it’s really easy to add too much. It is something you will be applying daily, so it’s better to try out with a smaller amount. I would not recommend essential oils from the mint and citrus families for deodorants, especially if you have sensitive skin. Mint stings, I find too potent and the orange family tends to be well, orange in color, and might stain clothes. It’s really up to you and what your skin handles well. Where to buy ingredients for this natural deodorant recipe without baking soda? You should only take this product for a maximum of 3 days at a time. If you need to take it for longer than 3 days you should see your doctor or pharmacist for advice Sometimes it seems like baking soda is everywhere, like a miracle cure-all, fix-all, clean all-natural products which makes me suspicious. Personally, I’m not a fan. Baking soda can be extremely irritating to skin, especially on something as sensitive as freshly shaved armpits.

Many have made this mistake, as you can see in our adverse reaction reports here . Unfortunately, some essential oil users try to dilute essential oils in substances that do not work as emulsifiers and will not disperse essential oils, as you can see in the case where a mother diluted some tangerine oil in full fat milk, resulting in a nasty reaction in her two daughters. Catnip essential oil contains nepetalactone, a compound that acts as a strong deterrent for insects. The distinct aroma emitted by catnip essential oil repels bees, wasps, fleas, and mosquitoes. 3. Cedarwood Essential Oil( Juniperus virginiana) This medicine contains codeine which can cause addiction if you take it continuously for more than 3 days. This can give you withdrawal symptoms from the medicine when you stop taking itLesser-known insects are also treated such as the flour mite, psocid, scleroderma, bread beetle, beetle, trips, capricorn, etc. For each, control solutions using only products containing plant active ingredients to protect us from the harmful effects of conventional and classic chemical products. Essential oils can be safely added to any vegetable oil, properly diluted, if thoroughly mixed. These oils (also known as fixed, fatty or carrier oils) work well to safely dilute and ‘carry’ essential oils. However, once added to the bath, and because oil and water don’t mix, the carrier/essential oil will not disperse throughout the water. Instead, it will float on the surface and cling to the sides of the tub and your skin. So, although the essential oils are safely diluted in the carrier, this does make for a pretty slippery, greasy bath experience. For a slightly less greasy floating bath oil, you could use fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil. Try using the hydrosols around the animal (instead of on the animal) to give your pet the ability to get away from the hydrosol if it is bothering them.

Before you take these tablets, make sure that you tell your pharmacist about ANY other medicines you might be using at the same time, particularly the following: When we need to protect ourselves from itchy bites, stings, and insect-borne illnesses, natural bug repellent offers a safer alternative to the chemical-laden bug repellents on the market. Here’s what we like about using natural bug repellents: Solubolul este o soluție naturală, din catetegoria bazelor purtătoare, excelentă pentru dispersarea uniformă a uleiurilor esențiale în apă sau în hidrolați. Are o aromă foarte ușoară și nu influențează aroma amestecurilor.Though credible sources get more and more muddled online, according to my research, potassium alum differs from aluminum chlorine and is safe for use. If you have CREDIBLE and PEER-REVIEWED studies claiming otherwise, please let me know. Magnesium flakes on the left, alum powder on the right. Magnesium chloride Save your summer activities from aggravating insects with your own DIY natural bug repellent with essential oils! Below are some recipes to help you get started, but don’t hesitate to try your own blends. (If you do, let us know what they are!) a few drops of essential oils of your choice, good choices could be tea tree, lavender, or geranium. I like lavender because it’s gentler for skin. Children aged 16 to 18 years: Take one or two tablets dissolved in water every 6 hours, if you need to, up to 4 times in 24 hours. Don’t take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours. I like to use a beaker because it already has a spout. I bought a beaker for baking years ago and I put it to use for DIY home recipes as well. You can make the recipe without it no problem.

Vegetable glycerin, Helianthus annus, lecithin, cocos nucifera, sucrose stearate, cera alba, sterculia urens, acacia, vitamin E, vitamin C, rosemarinus officinalis extract & popolis cera * Hydrosols are very gentle, and yet rich with therapeutic properties. They are just right when we don’t want to use essential oils! Here are a few hydrosols we love for natural bug repellent recipes!

Shake well before use as the essential oils do not mix well in the solubol. The mixture will disperse evenly when added to water. First, mix essential oil with Solubol (or other EO dispersant) in a 1:1 ratio (or follow instructions on the bottle if specified differently). Stir really well. The oils and Solubol will become 1 homogeneous liquid. If it’s not happening, you might need to add an additional drop or two of Solubol.
