Following its launch in 2021, Cadbury’s Plant Bar has somehow found itself in my shopping trolley most weeks. I can’t get enough of the subtle nutty flavour you get in every bite thanks to the almond paste. Although a salted caramel flavour is available, the Smooth Chocolate is my favourite of the Plant Bars. It is also considerably smaller than Cadbury’s original Dairy Milk bar. But to me, a square or two of the Plant Bar is enough to satisfy my chocolate cravings when I need it most.

Ensuring we deliver against our commitment to exceptional flavour has taken quite some time, but as of November, the wait is over." Nestlé also launched a vegan version of its iconic bar, the KitKat, earlier this year. (Image: KitKat). If you're in the market for regular milk chocolate, Mars Wrigley have unveiled their Christmas range and it includes the new Malteser Mint Reindeer. We’re delighted to finally confirm that the rumors swirling around Cadbury Plant Bar are true. We’ve worked hard to add this delicious, dairy-free option to our iconic range, and we can only apologize for making our fans wait,” Michael Moore, Cadbury Marketing Manager, said in a statement at the time. “Ensuring we deliver against our commitment to exceptional flavor has taken quite some time, but as of November, the wait is over.” What’s more, LoveRaw has launched a variety of vegan treats including peanut butter cups, a range of wafer bars, and most recently, their Nutty Choc Balls (think Ferrero Rocher).

Cadbury is launching its first vegan Plant Bar in November, 2021 - it will come in two flavours: Smooth Chocolate and Smooth Chocolate with Salted Caramel (Image: Mondelez International / Cadbury) What they say Dark chocolate is something that I’ve grown to love as I’ve gotten older. The bitter flavour takes some getting used to, but once you’ve learned to love the deep, rich taste you’re in for a treat. If you want the best vegan dark chocolate, it has to be Tony’s Chocolonely. Accompanying the announcement of its new vegan chocolate bars, Cadbury issued an apology to plant-based Brits for taking so long to produce them.Cadbury apologised for the two-year delay in getting this product to market, stating that "perfection takes time." The company also cheekily added it was "sorry for all the other chocolate you've had to eat while you waited," a nod perhaps to the massive explosion in vegan chocolate products hitting the shelves over the last two years.

Diet Plant Bars provides approximately 16g of quality protein with less than 3g of sugar, and impressively, less than 199 calories in a delicious tasting, plant based protein bar. To accompany this, Diet Plant Bar also contains L-Carnitine and Green Tea Extract which supports fat loss and aids the maintenance of a lean physique. In other vegan food news, Pizza Express has launched its first ever plant-based restaurant in London.Cadbury is encouraging everyone to give it a try, suggesting "if it isn’t for you, then there is [the] classic Dairy Milk".Reading behind the lines, that suggests the flavour profile might not be as similar to the Dairy Milk recipe.

A delicious smooth chocolate without the “glass and a half”. We hope you’ll agree it was worth the wait. Mondelez says the move is a response to the growing mainstream demand for plant-based foods. It first revealed that plans were underway to create a vegan versions of its Dairy Milk bar last year, saying it wanted to “provide people with greater choice”. Ensuring we deliver against our commitment to exceptional flavour has taken quite some time, but as of November, the wait is over.’ In January, the Veganuary campaign, run by a separate charity, attracted more than half a million sign-ups around the world. t said 825 new products and menus were launched during the month. The Nutty Choc Balls are my favourite from the brand, followed by their Milk Choc Cream Wafer Bars. The nutty balls are coated in the brand’s signature ‘M:lk’ chocolate and slathered with hazelnut pieces.

“It took us time to get it just right”

My top 3 favourite truffle flavours include Rhubarb & Vanilla Fool, Fine De Champagne, and Almond Salted Caramel. It will go on sale in Sainsbury’s stores from November and at other retailers from early next year.
