Emollients tend to have a short duration of action and will be required to be applied regularly or when needed. soften, moisturise and protect your skin by trapping moisture in the skin and restoring the normal protective function of the skin. MyriBase® Cream should be applied liberally to the affected area then smoothed into the skin along the line of hair growth, rather than rubbing it in. AproDerm Colloidal Oat Cream, a light, paraffin-free emollient which has all the benefits of colloidal oat including protecting and restoring the skin barrier, soothing the itch, irritation and redness associated with dry skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis, as well as having humectant properties and maintaining the skin’s normal pH. As well as being a moisturiser it can also be used as an effective soap substitute, to prevent the skin from drying out further.

Please be aware that this product contains Liquid Paraffin which is highly flammable, keep away from open or gas fires or hobs and naked flames, including candles etc. and not to smoke when using these paraffin containing preparations.Encourage appropriate usage by prescribing generous amounts e.g. 500 grams of moisturisers to use regularly (often QDS)

AproDerm Gel is a highly moisturising gel, without the greasiness of an ointment, which actively draws and retains moisture within the skin and provides a protective barrier to help reduce dryness and irritation. It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos. It helps treat dry or chapped skin conditions that may also be itchy, red and sore.
