I wouldn’t carry a stove for myself on a one-night trip like this, mostly because I don’t drink hot drinks and I’d find food in a local pub/carry some granola with broken chocolate in for breakfast. That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from OEX so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at OEX branded products within the Sleeping Mats category. This should be okay going down to fairly cold temperatures but the r-value isn’t high enough for a sudden overnight cold snap during Spring or Autumn. On the good side, it’s fairly easy to use the nozzle to let out a little air if you prefer a slightly softer mat. Although there’s very little air inside to play with! We’re really pleased to have scored OEX Traverse IMX Sleeping Mat so highly, givimg it 9.6 out of 10, making it well above the average for all Sleeping Mats.I would, however, certainly recommend spending a little more to buy a better mat given that it will not just be lighter, it’ll also be comfier.
