Disclaimer: The Sivga Oriole is sent to me by Sivga Audio. Many thanks for the opportunity. This review reflects my honest opinion as always. Sivga Audio The Luan has an excellently coherent physical shape with equal parts height, width, and depth of field. This headphone doesn’t sound wide, but that is because the mids are so forward. This headphone doesn’t sound particularly tall, but that is because the entire stage size is more forward than moderately placed. However, the fidelity exceeds that of the HD6xx series, and the likes of the Philips Fidelio X series which are both among the best buys for the tier when it comes to either lots of fun bass, bass clarity, and refinement. The FiiO feels top-heavy on my head, and the Luan feels perfectly balanced and much softer on my ears and the top side of my skull. The FiiO requires a ton of power and is highly inefficient, the Luan is nicely powered by your average DAP. The headphone housing is made of natural high-density rosewood and metal parts combined. It is carved by CNC and goes through processes such as grinding, polishing, painting, natural air drying, etc. The earpads are super soft memory foam and skin-friendly leather earpads.

When we trailed this feature, we found the call quality to be remarkably clear, even when walking on a busy London street. There are 11 different noise cancellation modes on offer too, so there's something for every potential scenario – only the Sennheiser Momentum does this better (oddly, the newer Bose QuietComfort QC45 don't include it). The treble response is represented with adequate volume and equality in output with all the other frequencies. The highs seem well balanced and neither emphasized nor recessed. I would say almost right where they should be in volume and presence. Timbre You might prefer more industrial or professional-looking headphones, but there’s no doubt that the design of the Oriole is unique. The top end of the spectrum is in general properly and tastefully tuned and they never became pesky or fatiguing. They always remained generally pleasant. Staging & DynamicsWe have tested all of the headphones in this guide extensively, spending lots of time analyzing the sound, fit, design, specs, and value for money.

The Luan’s fidelity exceeds any other competing similarly-priced headphones I currently have, except for one. The only actual competition for the Luan is the FiiO FT3. Looks-wise, I think the Oriole is very authentic. From the genuine wood earcups, the soft earpads, and the metal headband, it’s a luxurious-looking piece of equipment. No doubt about that. It’s somewhat bit old-school, but relatively modern at the same time. I overalled liked the design attributes of this new model. The best thing is what you get from this price range. The headphone looks more premium than the price suggests, especially for the wooden cups, which are shaped fantastically well. The treble presentation is something I would call relaxed but well-defined. Once again, the resolution level is very impressive, and it gives a great micro-detail performance which is not expected from the price. Sivga is committed to making refined products and producing different headphones. Made up of teams who worked in the audio industry earlier in China, they adhere to the use of traditional craftsmanship, coupled with the selection of high-quality natural solid wood as the material for the housing.

Side imaging was more spacious compared to its depth most of the time. I did use lots of different setups so the source was not the origin of the staging characteristics mentioned. The bass response of the Oriole has good rumble and sub-bass emphasis. It’s very enjoyable and impressive, especially for modern recordings where you have a lot of bass. It feels like it’s tuned for a more mainstream crowd, instead of the audiophiles. It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with Sivga, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. I’d like to thank Sivga for providing the sample for this review. Every opinion expressed is mine and I stand by it. The purpose of this review is to help those interested in Sivga Audio Oriole Headphones find their next music companion. The first listening note I would like to give regarding the Oriole is the strong noise isolation provided by these headphones. They do an excellent job of shutting out outside distractions, letting you concentrate on the music. Sound Impressions That really depends on your budget – you don't need to overstretch yourself to prices you can't really afford in your quest for great sound.
