Please be careful not to judge tint based on images you see on a computer screen. Unless properly calibrated, the screen itself will change the perceived tint. Fenix’s user interface for the LR35R is not my personal favorite. I know this is different for every person. Available modes:

The LR40R: unique thanks to the double light profile

The indoor beamshot is intended to give an idea of the beam shape/quality rather than tint. All beamshots are taken using daylight white balance. The woodwork (stairs and skirting) are painted Farrow & Ball “Off-White”, and the walls are a light sandy colour called ‘String’ again by Farrow & Ball. I don’t actually have a ‘white wall’ in the house to use for this, and my wife won’t have one!

To avoid overheating the torch has two types of inbuilt protection. The temperature protection will lower the output of the torch if the temperature reaches 65°C or above when using turbo, high and mid modes. Once the torch has cooled below 65° the brightness can be reset to the higher outputs. Please see images for a run-time graph. LR35R is a nice looking light and I can understand of the size and design that it's comfortable in the hand. You can see that all modes have a long horizontal line. This is at an output between 44 and 48 lumens. At this time, the Battery indicator is blinking red, which means a battery voltage between 1-25%. You get about 7 hours of runtime at 44-48 lumens when the output dropped. A built-in battery level indicator displays the battery status for 3 seconds when the button is single pressed with the light off. It will show either a solid green, green flashing, solid red or red flashing light. A low battery voltage warning function is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level when the voltage drops below the preset level. Once it reaches low output it will blink red to remind you to charge the batteries. The side switch is conveniently located on the top of the head when it sits in your hand. I don’t honestly know why they moved from the tactical style to this type of flashlight, but I can understand that a 1-handed operation is something users would have recommended.The built in charging is very useful, especially as all the 21700 rated chargers I have would not take the long Fenix 21700 cells. It also means you don’t need anything else, and can swap the cells if needed. Let me here tell why Thrunite and Acebeam now belong to my favorite brands: low, mid and high are memorised while firefly and turbo instead have direct access. This means I can have mid mode as a memorised allround mode, and always access to turbo when I want it(and never accidently). And always from off getting firefly without risk for activating a higher mode. When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until Eco output is reached. When this happens in Eco output, the battery level indicator blinks toremind youto recharge or replace the battery.
