I definitely have found myself in several of her situations, so I couldn’t help but root for her to find her way back to herself in spite of her crappy ex-husband. He turns your world upside down and if he would ask you to follow him to the end of the world, you would not hesitate one single moment.

Not to mention, she's treading water in a dead-end job, her know-it-all therapist gives her advice she doesn't ask for, and the men she is surrounded by are, to be polite, subpar.

I did like Sloane, but thought that a lot of her personal history should have been thought on more for also how she reacted to what was going on with her and Myles. It was extremely slow, paid way more attention to the main character’s work life, and was VERY generic.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. She was successful, ambitious, happy, just on the cusp of graduating from university and claiming the future she’d always dreamed of. I don't see myself as something who hardly judges and yet that was exactly what I did here, only because I felt somehow displeased and didn't even left out space to consider other ways to look at things. But what starts as a personal and professional nightmare transforms into something even savvy, cynical Liv Goldenhorn couldn’t begin to imagine.
