The art is gorgeous and different from what I usually read in graphic novels so it just added more to my excitement.

eros asking aphrodite why she's jealous of an adorable pink cinnamon roll 🤣🤭 so true tho why does she have to be? Nothing additional has been announced yet, but keep checking back here for the latest official news. There's a distinct lack of characterisation, which is actually quite a feat, what with the endless conversations. That said, I got this as a Christmas gift from my spouse today and literally binge read it the moment I got the chance (which was maybe two hours after opening the gift).

For anyone looking for a fresh take on Hades and Persephone, Lore Olympus brings us a sexy and delightful romp that captivates until the very last page. I recommend this graphic novel to anyone who loves mythology, romance and Hades and Persephone retellings. I am a sucker for mythology retellings and this is a great one with Hades and Persephone beginning a romance against all odds. The main characters, Persephone and Hades, don’t have much depth to them, but their relationship is pretty adorable. When her roommate, Artemis, takes her to a party, her entire life changes: she ends up meeting Hades and feels an immediate spark with the charming yet misunderstood ruler of the Underworld. He spots her at a party with his brothers Zeus and Poseidon and the plot races off down the morally murky highway.

My favorite depiction is Eros as a bubbly bisexual, though the strong-willed, protective best friend vibes from Artemis are equally enjoyable. Rachel Smythes artwork is vivid and enchanting, with deeply relatable characters and a deft handling of their dark pasts. In addition to the episodes previously published on WEBTOON, Volume One , Volume Two, and Volume Three each include one never-before-seen short story as a bonus chapter. Ah, eu olhei o preço e foi convertido a nossa moeda mesmo, não foi cobrado a mais como vemos em alguns casos e eu amei isso também. My 14 year old daughter is the one who recognized it, so she's actually the one I originally bought it for, but my curiosity got the better of me after I saw all the rave reviews. And now I can't help but think I should read more graphic novels by women to see more of this female gaze in romance with pictures.

Se você pensa em comprar mas não sabe se vai gostar, é só procurar no WEBTOON e ler por lá mesmo, se você gostar, aproveita e leva. Featuring a brand-new, exclusive short story, Smythe’s original Eisner-nominated web-comic Lore Olympus brings the Greek Pantheon into the modern age with this sharply perceptive and romantic graphic novel. I can highly recommend it to all women I know even if you've never read a graphic novel or don't particularly like romance. This is a treat for those who know the stories, but if you are unfamiliar with Greek mythology or only have a basic understanding this book won't make you feel outside of it at all and, if anything, will really welcome you in and be easy to follow. But of course, they can't be together because Persephone is supposed to be a candidate for the goddesses of eternal maidenhood. On her first night in the city, Artemis takes Persephone to one of Zeus's parties, where Hades sees her for the first time. What Scott Pilgrim did for Canadian slackers, Lore Olympus does for the Greek Pantheon, while being so beautiful that you know Aphrodite is just staring daggers in its direction.
