About this deal

I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic! Almond is an influencer, it’s maybe not her choice, but it’s how it is, and she just has to get on with it.

Trust is hard to come by via Social media, I know for a fact that I have second guessed the intentions of those on social media, this was captured well with Almonds character.

This experience has been fantastic primarily for the children, the school and also for me (professionally). It was very easy to get into, and the pacing remained quite snappy throughout so I managed to fly through it within a couple of hours. I loved how she formed friendships with Heather and Joss, it really shows how much a good support network is needed. It means that when she enrols in her Teen Therapy class, she’s aware of the looks and the comparisons.

Almond wants to run away from all of this and she s apparently waiting for the new collab money to come to her - while she s also being blackmailed and bullied online! I also think it’s ridiculously important to have these storylines and to bring these issues into young adult fiction because with the rise of social media and a lot of unsupervised internet access, these things can happen and for a young person it can be really daunting.I think the themes within this book were approached with a lot of care, and it didn’t glamourise social media fame but rather flipped that on its head.

Any sixteen-year-olds would expect trouble, but this is Northern Ireland 2018, where abortion is still illegal. Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a free eArc in exchange for an honest review! And the overall plots and storyline was really great, it was interesting and wild yet still realistic and I appreciated that a lot.

Almond’s relationship with her mother, Eve, is both compelling and complex, showcasing the intricate dynamics that can exist within an influencer family. The book’s relevance in today’s society, where the lines between real-life and online personas blur, cannot be overstated. There is a lot to really enjoy in this story and there is great energy to the writing, as well as some fine characterization' - Peter James, award-winning and no. Payments made using National Book Tokens are processed by National Book Tokens Ltd, and you can read their Terms and Conditions here. Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. Her perspective on the background and behind the scenes of child influencers really sheds a lot of light, and it’s interesting to see (and read about) what it’s actually like. million followers is all she knows and the longest conversation she has with her mum is about follower count and does this photo look okay for this campaign.
