With headphones out of the way, I was looking at a set of familiar P5 accessories including a quilted soft case and two sets of cables, except this time it was an audio headphone cable and usb charging cable. Build quality is exquisite: the aluminium structure is sturdy yet flexible, while the sheepskin leather ear pads (a little thicker than before – hooray) and headband are luxurious and comfortable. This makes them decent headphones to use on long flights or road trips and they also do not take long to charge. You’d struggle to tell them apart at a glance, because they share a design philosophy - rounded rectangular earcups, sheep’s leather and twisted aluminium. P5W vs M2W - M2W has a wider/deeper soundstage, a bit less sub-bass and a similar mid-bass, also similar lower mids, but upper mids are more recessed, darker, and a little less detailed, treble is also a bit darker and has less quantity in comparison.

The clamp is too much for my liking and with leather being steamy over time, after about 1-2 hours of use I noticed my ears kind of sweat, and this happens to me right now as I'm writing this review, even if its freezing cold right now. On the whole, the P5 is definitely a peculiar flavour of headphone – colored and far from flawless from a technical standpoint – and probably won’t appeal to those who, like myself, seek a more realistic and neutral sound even on the move. The top end gives bite and attack, while still leaving plenty of breathing space for a song to reach its soaring crescendo.View image in fullscreen The playback and volume control buttons on the right ear cup are ill fitting with the rest of the headphones.

The supplied cable is very thin rubberized affair that is full of kinks and while it works as intended it looks and feels very cheap in stark contrast to the finely crafted headphones. Sure, there's a little muffling of ambient sound because you're placing the earpads on your ears, but virtually every headphone pair on earth offers this, and it's not very significant. I was actually very pleased with upper mids/treble performance which often gets neglected in wireless headphones. There is still a long ways to go before the site has all of its the intended features and content, so keep checking back to see what’s new! They last long enough to not have to worry about charging them and are relatively compact for traveling.so I began burning-in using the sound profile using pink noise once again (they had about 45 hours of burn-in already on them). They tend to be a bit too smooth which could affect some retrieval of details, but still have a good definition and clarity. Regarding sound isolation, you do have to be realistic this is on-ear design which can't be compared to over-ear, thus you should expect to hear outside noise but with a good attenuation while still being aware of surrounding. Beside previously mentioned 90 deg rotation mechanism, earcups also have a degree of tilt to adjust to your ears/head shape. Detail retrieval and clarity lag slightly behind the HD25-1 (especially at low volumes) and transparency is far from outstanding.
