Eden the main character was likeable and kept my interest, I felt invested and wanted her to be happy and do well after her previous problems .

Throw in a touch of cloak and dagger to the romance and the story kept me hooked all the way through. I especially adore elderly people in books I read, so the inclusion of Iris as a main character was joyful. I have always wanted to stay in a lighthouse which has been converted into a holiday cottage - maybe I should make it happen! Morwenna was another great character, and I'd like to read a story with her as the main character finding her love!As the characters follow a well-developed story arc, it’s impossible not to be drawn into their lives. As we were taken around the lighthouse, it was so easy to visualise the setting and hear the sound of the sea. Fantastic characters the wonderful family matriarch Iris, young Eden troubled by her past, and the handsome enigmatic Levan who has a chequered past! It was a lovely romantic plot but also without giving away any spoilers had other themes/plots to keep my interest.

Levan makes a memorable appearance, as he indulges in a headstand, in his neighbouring garden, while wearing a pair of bright orange speedos. Combines romance, humour and intrigue so well … The whole thing was so captivating, and I loved that there were secrets peppered and hinted at throughout … that I was desperate to uncover.
