This book is great we laughed out loud and refer to it often (particularly when we go to the park (‘check you’ve not left your bottom over there. You could make robots with bodies with magnets attached and limbs with metal attached to leave out for the children to investigate. Bird was using it as a nest, but it was too heavy; Bear used it in his drum kit, but it was too tinny; the Squirrels built sandcastles with it…and now it looks as if they’re sailing away in it. Back on the swing, in the final pages, he makes sure he doesn’t leave it behind, but children will notice that he hasn’t paid the same attention to his arm.

My favourite character is the robot because he is funny and forgetful, his forgetfulness caused some funny antics and that’s what every book needs. They wrote such epic sagas as; ‘Barry the fish with fingers’,’Norman the slug with the silly shell’,’No-bot the robot’,’Supertato’ and ‘I need a wee’.

I can’t recommend any of the Sue Hendra books highly enough, seriously if you’ve never read any of her books then you MUST! Methought I was, and methought I had—but man is but a patched fool if he will offer to say what methought I had. So then Bear was using it in his drum kit, but it made a funny noise and now he doesn't know where it is.While William Shakespeare’s reputation is based primarily on his plays, he became famous first as a poet.
