S. releases in 2023, it is already one of those distilleries that can never satisfy that market in its present form. It’s not just rye that gets harvested for this whisky – the fields also contain wheat, oats and even thistle seeds, which all contribute to a spirit that has a mass of complexity. To make this whisky, the Bimber team sources malt whisky from Scotland (with a minimum age of 12 years) and blends it before finishing it in casks that previously contained its own much sought after single malt. Ltd got permission to build the first registered whisky distillery in England for over a century; it first release of single malt occurred in 2009; which became the only English Whisky to have been bottled and released for over 100 years. Launched in 2016 by The English Distillery, England's oldest registered whisky distillery, The English range features a pair of English single malt whiskies - this is the Original expression, showing off a creamy, vanilla-rich flavour profile. To add a unique twist, this gin also includes a dash of the distinguished Dartmoor Spirit and is complemented by pure Dartmoor spring water. Crafted in small batches, the exquisite Dartmoor Gin 1890 is a celebration of the finest ingredients and botanicals sourced from the idyllic landscapes of Dartmoor and Devon. In 2018, Stuart Gulliver relaunched the family business and the current range is made at St George’s Distillery. Towards the end of 2019, Yorkshire had its first whisky, courtesy of the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery.
