A favourite of mine when I was younger, it would be nice to have a lighter version or slightly more sophisticated version for ladies not in their teens or twenties. I wear sweet fragrances better than anyone else I know and my skin chemistry favors sweet scents, but my tastes have matured and fresh sparkly sweet, spicy/oriental, woody fragrances are my favorite when the weather's cooler. For the busy and active woman, the 90ml spray bottle of Hugo Boss Deep Red Eau de Parfum is an ideal choice. The heart of this fragrance features floral and spicy notes such as freesia, pittosporum, ginger flower, tuberose, and hibiscus. HOWEVER there's this weird freshness to the perfume that I can't get on board with, its like stick to the warm Christmas vibe OR be a fresh scent, I don't like the two put together.

It must have been an oversight, and it's a shame, really, because all I see now is the leg of a musty old chair. I remember getting my hands on some samples when this scent was originally released, loving the depth and originality of this fragrance. The fruity notes sit there a little louder, but this isn't a traditional in your face kind of citrus. It may seem a little outdated by today's standards but i think it is just a more "in your face" kind of sultry and naughty 746998825053 Hugo Boss Deep Red Eau de Parfum Women's Perfume Spray (30ml, 50ml, 90ml) 25. This is so often referred to as a cold weather, evening news sexy perfume but I can’t see it - I wear a lot of light perfumes and I’d recommend this for warm weather.

Deep Red had both some of my spirit in it and so far, everyone's found it inoffensive or liked it very much on me. I'm surprised it's not voted higher, maybe because it's not an old school or very naturalistic tuberose, but a modern, a bit fresher and slightly plasticy one, if that makes sense. This actually reminds me of Alien (thats how prominent the jasmine note is on my skin with this) but I don't like this one because the jasmine note just overpowers everything else. This is honestly what I thought Dior's Hypnotic Poison would smell like: murky, dark, and seductive in all of this almost red wine like smell.Once the initial freshness fades the fruitiness starts to come in, I definitely smell citrus and also the ginger. For me this is tied so much to the early 2000s, to 19 year old me standing in line in front of some club and all the (wonderful) folly that comes along with that time of life. I have to give it points for longevity and sillage, because it has that in spades, it's just not the kind of scent that deserves it. I had bought givenchy l'interdit rouge and I can see the resemblance, but rouge is just a tad bit too bubblegummy for me. The blood orange and ginger combination sounded delicious, especially because I love that in Poison Girl Unexpected, but this.

It reminds me of a Christmas type smell like Christmas pot pourri or the smell of Christmas Eve when everyone has their mulled wine out ( I think that's the ginger and orange).Wonderful fragrance, that I have never had the pleasure of meeting, which my sister has (fortunately) had as a gift from a friend with a very good taste, I must admit!
