Eventually Adrian moves into his parents' converted pigsties, along with Marigold's sister Daisy, whom he marries. He was just a kid growing up in Leicester, England, with acne and a crush and a bully and a crazy home life. Registered office address: Unit 34 Vulcan House Business Centre, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EF. A successful stage production ran at the Wyndham's Theatre, London, in 1984-1986, that included Simon Gipps-Kent and followed with a road tour. She also relies on him on occasion; when she becomes pregnant as a teenager, Adrian supports her decision to have an abortion.

Characters who had stepped out of the series are back where they were, little details are forgotten. David Walliams contributes a foreword to this beautiful 30th Anniversary edition of The Secret Diary Num Pages: 336 pages. The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4 is the first book in Sue Townsend's brilliantly funny Adrian Mole series. Four of author, playwright and humourist Sue Townsend's (1946-2014), best selling Adrian Mole stories from the 1980s. It is 30 years since Adrian Mole leapt into the national consciousness from the pen of Sue Townsend, and to mark the occasion Penguin are re-issuing all eight volumes of the Mole saga. The diary format is perfect for exposing his lack of self-awareness, utterly delusional nature and inability to understand the world around him (a trick played many years before in The Diary of a Nobody) but, like many of the finest comic characters, we cannot help but empathise with him and hope that maybe, this time, he’ll get it right. Adrian gets to experience birth and death, and soldiers on even though he had to deal with all manner of challenges in this final installment of the “Adrian Mole” diary series. The designer opted for pastel shades for each book in the series, which strikes me as a little odd given that I would normally associate the colour scheme (though not the overall effect, I admit) with chick-lit. In the meantime, Adrian is having a great relationship with Pandora though he is still frustrated that things are not moving as fast as he would have liked them to.

The last three books move in slightly new directions, showing Adrian as an adult in different environments. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear removable cover, is in fine condition with no issues. The book is firmly bound in dark green cloth lettered in gilt to the spine, the extremities are slightly bumped and rubbed and the spine is a little cocked. Mole was born in 1967 and was brought up in Leicester before he moved to the East Midlands small town of Ashby de la Zouch.
