House of Elrick Old Tom Gin is the resurrection of an original liquid taken from a 17th century recipe. Built at the height of the Scottish Enlightenment period in 1720, the home hosted lively discussions from some of the most respected creative, philosophical and scientific minds of the time. House of Elrick Gin comes to us from Aberdeen, featuring a selection of botanicals including juniper, coriander, citrus, angelica, pink peppercorn, sweet fennel, heather and rose petals. The botanicals are hand-picked by their Master of Gin and include juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root and citrus peel, built around a core of heather, pink peppercorns, sweet fennel and rose petals. They include, Bonnie Prince Charlie and the famous illustrator Eleanor Vere Boyle, renowned for illustrating stories for Hans Christian Andersen and Alfred Lord Tennyson, as well as writing poetry about Elrick.The purpose built distillery sits nestled on the House of Elrick Estate next to the listed walled garden.
