I’ve never played The Fox in the Forest, so it’s great to hear that this co-op version is a strong contended. A two player trick-taking game seems kind of silly on the surface for those coming from Spades, Hearts, etc…, but it is pulled off remarkably well here. The Fox in the Forest Duet is not to be confused with just The Fox in the Forest, which is also a two-player trick-taking card game with a fairy tale theme.

The biggest point swing in the game comes from attempting to win three or less of the 13 tricks in the round, and it’s not always easy.
