YSL Black Opium Neon EDP adds a neon-like radiance to the signature Black Opium with this luscious dragon fruit. So far it's performed better than the other Black Opiums, as those by the 30 minute mark were already skin scents, even when spraying a lot.

This is my second review necause I felt I didnt give this scent a fair chance the first time I tried it.The opening is very light, fruity, bubble-gummy, with florals in the background, not as dark as the absinthe boysenberry Intense. I’ve reapplied many times while tearing it today, although admittedly a few times just because I wanted to smell the opening again and wanted another dose of that pretty orange blossom. Like in couture tailoring, the signature BLACK OPIUM bottle is re-visited and given a silhouette with the contemporary woman in mind. That sweetness carries through to the floral heart notes and it begins to smell similar to CH's Good Girl.

It's a nice clean floral scent that would work well in slightly warmer weather (compared to most BO flankers). For that reason, I didn't end up getting it since I found them to be too similar and I much prefer Si Fiori. After 4-6 hours, it's softer, but still noticeable, I would say the perfume has an average good longevity on me (unlike Nuit Blanche).Not to mention that the design is inspired by Chinese snuff bottles and is in line with the name, the original opium perfume and both the current opium bottle as well as the historical ones. The base heralds back to that original YSL Black Opium EDP signature with Coffee, Vanilla and Cedarwood. To conclude this is nice, but other than the gorgeous orange blossom note, this fragrance doesn’t have an awful lot going for it, at least not in winter.

This was the first designer perfume I ever fell in love with and wow, it still surprises me every time I wear it.

Absinthe, woven with wormwood and aromatic herbs, blends with anis and juicy boysenberry, set against a rich floral heart of jasmine sambac absolute and orange blossom.I like that the fruity note is still there after many hours, not necessary a beast, but I'm happy I can wear it much more often than the original BO.
