Description

The description and detail in the book is amazing, I can picture every scene in my imagination perfectly! It took my a while to start reading the fever series, the description of them just didn’t sound like something I would be into. As she begins to learn who she is, she uncovers a terrible hidden past about herself and her family.

Which is when a mysterious and annoyingly arrogant young warlock named Wade Crowley steps in, introducing her to a hidden world of beasts, magicals, and covens riddled with secrets - as well as clues about her murky past. He is absolutely fascinating and I hope the rest of the series has a lot more focus on him, I just adore him. Remember, the journey through a book series is not just about reaching the end but also about the memories created along the way.Harley is introduced to the San Diego coven, and starts to learn how to properly channel her abilities.

Sometimes a book goes temporarily out of print - and sometimes no audio version has ever been recorded.I bought this book on the basis of the number of very positive reviews, particularly those comparing the book to the Harry Potter series. The series might take you on a rollercoaster of emotions or provide a steady companion on lazy Sunday afternoons.

Able to read other peoples emotions, she is invaluable at her job in the casino where she's employed catching card sharks, and she's very good at her job which is in the human world. It kept my attention to the end, I didn't realise who the culprit was for all the mischief going on in both worlds right up until they were revealed, which was great! And if you’re looking for easy to consume fantasy with some fun and interesting bits and are not too concerned with how it is written and originality, then this is definitely a good book to read. I’ll get to the actual review part shortly, but this bothered me so much that I just have to get it out of my system. Their background, style, and influences often shine through in their writing, making each book a unique experience.

I don’t mind some romance but I don’t read fantasy for the romance so it should at least be secondary. It's the perfect spot for readers to get a glimpse of what lies within the pages, helping them decide which book to dive into next. This author, whether a rising star or a seasoned veteran, has crafted the pages that whisk readers away on this series' journey.

However the book does have some positive elements (hence the three star rating); it is well written, there are a few well crafted action sequences and the story had a couple of original ideas around how magic might be used in a magical society. This all was a perfect introduction to this world, teaching Harley and us at the same time everything we need to know. So I can see why it’s been likened to the adult Harry Potter, but honestly until reviews were read, I didn’t even think about HP. She discovers that there is another world; a magical world which exists parallel to the human one, and there is much to learn and like about it. Wade is a brilliant warlock with no social skills who is drawn to Harley from the beginning but equally repelled by her empath abilities.
