These guardrails may not be necessary if you’re familiar with drones, and each can be disabled if you choose. In hindsight, I could've been farther away from any obstruction, but considering I was out in the open, I thought the GPS would be able to hover the drone steadily. The drone uses the built-in altitude sensor to assist landing and shut off the motors, but no optical flow positioning for indoor flights like Ruko’s U11 Pro. Just as importantly, it displays the drone’s location on a little map, so you can see its proximity, direction, and the direction it’s facing at all times. It clearly connects and tells me when the drone is ready to fly, even tracks the drone gps on the map.I realised there was a (not awfully tall) building between me and the drone, which probably affected the signal. The item may be missing the original packaging or protective wrapping, or may be in the original packaging but not sealed. The battery come with the drone are intelligent, you can easily monitored the power level in real time. It makes sense, then, that as a starter drone, the Ruko takes that right out of your hands with built-in safety features. By the time I’d landed the drone I’d had around 26 minutes of total flight time – a little under the quoted 28 minutes.

After a brief bit of calibration and connecting to the drone for your live feed and settings, the auto-take-off gets you flying quickly and able to learn the controls within a safe radius. It's a bit clunky, and the plastic feels a bit cheap, but it didn't break or creak the wrong way during the testing period. The camera’s angle can be adjusted between -80° and 0°, providing flexibility in capturing different perspectives. The joystick icon reveals additional functions – I’ll cover the flight modes shortly but you can create music videos with a few supplied tracks – again you won’t get the music with the SD card high resolution videos. If something unforeseen happens and it does drop from the sky, the app also keeps a log of the last recorded GPS location so you can retrieve it.

Sure, I could take off, but one mistake getting them back on the ground and I’d be left with a pile of broken parts for all of that money. the 4K camera has a 2-Axis gimbal stabilization, and also carrying the Electric Image Stabilization technology inside, so pictures are taken stably at 4K; Videos records at 4K/30fps; the zoom function help provides more detail. Below the photo button on the left there’s a jog dial to zoom in digitally up to 5x – that directly mimics the app zoom function so you still only see this in live view – not your recordings. It would also be awesome if there were a smaller resolution mode with a higher frame rate (50/60 fps).
