The push and pull between them throughout the whole novel, gosh it kept me on my tippy toes, I was like no! Theo thinking he can do whatever he wants and declaring his love for Blake, causing HER to lose the internship she had WORKED SO HARD TO GET, even when she told him NOT TO DO IT. I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner with great characters and a storyline that pulled you in and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Theo had me smiling and ready to knock him in the face but then smiling right after with his crazy love declarations.

Baby Thorn's behaviour, however, her paranoia, doubts and flying from one train of thought to another, her misconstrued beliefs and interpretation of events and Theo’s ostentatious, theatrical demonstration of his true feelings towards Baby Thorn were quite OTT. I know college is the time to do crazy stuff and learn but she just really ruined my desire to keep reading this book. Let's start at the end, shall we because for some unknown reason the epilogue just got me all tered up like a lunatic and it was all full of happy cozy feels. Even if you don’t, this book is full of longing, unfulfilled promises and so much potential love and steam, that it’s a great book for everybody. As a new adult romance, much of the earlier chapters concentrated heavily on college life with house parties and drinking games and probably could have been trimmed to get to the heart of the story. I loved their connection with the push and pull, challenging each other, as they learned to trust and break down walls. This brought kind of a fresh feel to the "im in love with my brother's best friend" Troupe and was dual POV. There's minimal OM/OW drama in this book- Blakley is dating someone from the team and Theo is a (reformed) manwhore.

She never listened either and the hypocrisy of her going on about communication when she was constantly shutting Theo out. and then shes like, ‘why cant he tell me he loves me’ or ‘why cant he hold me’ theo is scared and he has anxiety bc he cant lose you and when you lose your shit in an instant doesnt make anything better. Blake has been in love with Theo for years, but thinks he has only ever seen her as his best friends sister. The first half of the book was really enjoyable, I loved the backwards and forwards and we saw glimpses of the Blakely from book 1.

And even though Blake said she hated him half the time she didn't give up on him, her maturity was one of her best qualities after the Sassy mouth of hers. There was even happy tears I can’t believe how he can be so clueless but know exactly what he needs to do to get the girl. Being able to be open and honest to someone is never easy, especially when you don’t feel like you are being heard.
