Description

I kinda get the plasticy sandalwood note from Hanae Mori in Casmir, but that's where the similarities end. Thankfully the patchouli doesn't take over, I think bc of the amount of ingredients and the skill of the creator in blending. I can say it's a qualitative perfume, doesn't smell cheap, synthetic, it just not on my taste because I prefer feminine, sexy perfumes. He was the Swiss equivalent of Karl Moik or Carolin Reiber, and "Öisi Musig" was comparable to "Musikantenstadl". Criticizing, demolishing and minimizing an iconic item like Chopard's Casmir for free means having no knowledge of the history of world perfumery.

This unusual oriental fragrance is equal parts spicy and sweet, featuring a masterful use of vanilla.

I enjoy this fragrance so much especially in the colder and rainy days, but it works great too in hot daily tropic temperature. Development: (Linear / Average / Complex) While all the key players are present from the start, there is still an interesting progression of notes from tangy tropical fruit and coconut, to doughy vanilla, to incense-like spices. At first it comes on strong but dries down fairly quickly to a scent that radiates around arm's length on me.

It is certainly not the pure gourmand I tend towards, it is definitely an oriental-gourmand, with a foot in both but it is lovely all the same and I am quite happy I bought this, as it is not my typical fragrance and is unique in my collection. The vanilla is wound around the whole fragrance, and it's sweet and boozy but not cloying or overpowering. And, yes, the older Lancaster does seem to have a wee bit more depth, and definitely seems to last longer. What was most exciting was rediscovering these scents in the chilly dampness of an autumn London evening.Note: The pros and cons listed on this page have been generated using the artificial intelligence system, which analyzes product reviews submitted by our members. Casmir is allowed to stay in my collection, then from time to time is me after this sexy vanilla bomb. The spices and vanilla compliment one another very well and will give you a uniquely sexy scent that lasts all day/night.

It's lighter and more feminine version of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford which makes this one seductive.I also haven't found it to be overpowering and haven't had anyone complain or gag at the smell of it (always a plus with any perfume). Lovely mulled fruit and spices with a flood of other random notes atop a bitter, musty undercurrent.

Bought this perfume because I am a big fan of Gucci Rush (who the perfumer of Casmir also created) however you would never think just on smelling that these came from the same 90's decade, let alone the same nose. It's fresh and warm, I've only been using it during the winter so far so I'm not sure if it's one for the summer but it seems like an autumn/winter scent to me so far.I also recently turned 30 and may or may not be in the beginning stages of menopause, so that could be a cause too. I was a young lass through the 90s (from my teens to my twenties) and the exact right age to be familiar with Vanilla Fields.
