BATTLE AT BIG ROCK – Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the short film takes place one year after the events of JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM in Big Rock National Park. Sattler and Grant are reacquainting themselves with their old movie buddy, Maisie Lockwood (said genetic clone) is kidnapped by Bio-Syn mercenaries along with the raptor Blue’s child in an effort to modify the locusts even further, making it so Bio-Syn owner Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) can control them completely.

On its own, this is still very good, and switching on my setup’s DTS Neural:X function helped give a little more space to the channels, but you can still feel the difference.

It wasn't 1993's Jurassic Park - hell nothing has come close - but it was a fun effort, leading to a whole new trilogy which, again much like the Star Wars features, struggled with not knowing where the hell it was going. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) to get into the Bio-Syn facility and prove that Bio-Syn is the cause of the plague.

Some of the best examples of the presentation's effective use of HDR comes during the sun splashed scene at the airfield, later in Malta at the start of the raid and in the dark Amber mine as Ellie, Alan and Maisie use flashlights and torches to illuminate its shadowy confines. My complaint is that it just doesn’t pack the same oomph in the low-end and misses out on a lot of height dimension atmosphere for the big action sequences.

the creatures are insanely complex and their interactions within the environment are second-to-none. Universal Studios Home Entertainment brings Jurassic Park Dominion to Blu-ray as a two-disc combo pack with a Digital Copy code. The contrast balance is somewhat subdued and restrained, supplying the action with an interestingly grey, dreary appeal, but whites are nonetheless clean and vivid with crisp highlights in the hottest areas.

Speaking of fun, it’s Ultra HD Blu-ray/Blu-ray/Digital release from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment features terrific audio/video that spans both platforms.For those not familiar with the details regarding Ultra HD Blu-ray you can refer to my article that includes some pertinent data on the subject. As you'd expect the film's production elements are excellent and contributory, with the CGI based creatures being as integral as the actors themselves. The movie tries a bit too hard and a couple of the subplots could have been deleted with no impact on the story what-so-ever, but the audio track makes the entire experience worth watching.
