It’s one of many surprises tied to earlier and later twists in a story that moves with the speed of a Ferrari. More than just disappearances, it seems as if someone is trying to erase every trace of their existence. Barclay's latest combines an engrossing, fast-moving, well-twisted modern-day plot with believable characters.

This classic race-against-time thriller is somewhat predictable, but superbly entertaining and deliciously enjoyable nonetheless. This disease doesn’t have a treatment and the question was if he has any kids because they could get the disease too. And they might be about to inherit both the good and the bad from him — maybe his fortune, or maybe something much worse. As 9 becomes 8 and 8 becomes 7, the two must figure out WHO feels they would benefit most if there were less heirs? He has everything he could ever want, and has just recently found out he has something he never wanted.

Having made up his mind to distribute the majority of his wealth to his children, for obvious reasons, there are some people who are not happy, like Gilbert. Currently she spends her non-reading time serving as a volunteer in her community and local school district. A chilling story that proves Linwood Barclay is a master in the genre, leaving readers baffled with every page flip. I have long considered Linwood Barclay, a leading author of psychological and family-based thrillers. This is a enjoyable and engaging read, with some great good guys and some terrific villains, a thriller that I think will appeal to many crime and mystery readers.

Compelling from beginning to end, Find You First will keep Barclay’s fans on the lookout for his next thrilling ride. There were moments where I had to suspend disbelief at the motives and actions of certain characters, but hey. FIND YOU FIRST is absolutely over the top and utterly beyond the bounds of credibility, but it’s high speed, compelling, and gripping with lots of twists and turns and it’s great reading entertainment. Someone else has the same list and it’s a frantic countdown to figure out who is after the kids and why! There is a great deal to tackle here, which Barclay does well, as has been my experience with many of his past novels as well. Barclay has crafted a great thriller with a surprising ending and readers will sweat a little the next time they get on an elevator.
