The luxurious ingredients include papaya extract and a blend of lime, bergamot and orange oils to help make the skin feel fresh and clean. I personally don’t experience any exfoliation while using it, and I’m not using it for that purpose. I was using the Very Cherry Clean in my first trimester, and the cherry fragrance felt a little too strong for me, so I loved Green Clean more during that sensitive time. While I do appreciate some parts of Farmacy’s philosophy, I do not appreciate it is made with polyethylene and allows small particles of plastic into the water after use.

I don’t know much about this ingredient, but I know excess plastic is rarely a good thing, and most often not too good for the environment. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. Anyone with sensitive skin will also need to be wary of the essential oil content that gives the Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm its beautifully sweet zingy and refreshing lime scent; it truly makes my mouth water but can cause irritation for anyone sensitive to such essential oils.
