Description

Paracetamol is excreted in breast milk, but not in a clinically significant amount. Available published data do not contraindicate breast-feeding.

The product should be avoided during lactation unless recommended by a healthcare professional. There are limited data on the use of phenylephrine in lactation.Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take this medicine. Ethanol (alcohol) 3125 mg in each 20ml dose. The amount in a 20ml dose of this medicine is equivalent to less than 80 ml beer or 32 ml wine. The amount of alcohol in this medicine is not likely to have an effect in adults and adolescents, and its effects in children are not likely to be noticeable It may have some effects in younger children, for example feeling sleepy. The alcohol in this medicine may alter the effects of other medicines. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking other medicines. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If you are addicted to alcohol, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. The anticoagulant effect of warfarin and other coumarins may be enhanced by prolonged regular use of paracetamol with increased risk of bleeding; occasional doses have no significant effect. Lemsip max all in one liquid contains four active ingredients, the painkiller paracetamol (1000mg per 20ml), a cough expectorant called guaifenesin (200mg per 20ml), a decongestant called phenylephrine hydrochloride (12.18mg per 20ml) and an antiseptic called cetylpyridinium chloride. These active ingredients have different actions to relieve your symptoms.

You have non-cirrhotic liver disease (liver disease that is not associated with changes in the structure of the liver). Women who are breastfeeding. (It's not known if phenylephrine passes into breast milk, or its effect on a nursing infant. When taken by mouth, decongestants such as phenylephrine can also temporarily decrease the production of breast milk with just one or two doses. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for further advice.) Changes in the number of blood cells, such as thrombocytopenia (reduction in blood platelets which might mean that you bleed or bruise more easily), leucopoenia, pancytopenia, neutropenia and agranulocytosis (reduction in white blood cells which make infections more likely). Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this product if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Get immediate medical advice if you or someone you know takes too much paracetamol, even if you feel well, because of the risk of delayed, serious liver damage. Who shouldn't take Beechams all in one?If you take Lemsip max all in one liquid in the hour before or the six hours after taking colestyramine, the paracetamol is likely to be less effective. This is because colestyramine reduces the absorption of paracetamol from the gut.
