Bram Stoker has written an excellent book, and if you’ve had enough of modern day vampires, do go back and give this one a try (or retry! Well I haven't had time to read it yet but the book came so quickly and it was packaged beautifully. It had new artwork which included navy blue typography and dividing lines around a sketch of Dracula scaling down the castle wall, as Harker looks on from a window above. The story is told in epistolary format, as a series of letters, diary entries, newspaper articles, and ships' log entries, whose narrators are the novel's protagonists, and occasionally supplemented with newspaper clippings relating events not directly witnessed. Had a root about the loft and found this, still surprisingly intact from the last time I read it, so when I was about twelve, which doesn't bode well and means that it was proably crap.Reviews of books I have read, cover to cover, and occasional essays on more or less academic topics. At first, the ending seemed a bit anticlimactic, but upon reflection, I felt like the whole adventurous lead-up was all part of the ending and it worked.The novel's themes of fear, desire, and the battle between good and evil are explored in a way that continues to resonate with readers today.

It would have been fantastic if Constable had used the initiative to bring this 1901 softcover back to life, instead, as an authentic facsimile and an alternative to the Limited Edition hardback.This should be more than enough to distinguish it from the original, never mind altering the main title page as well. Only YOU can decide, and only your skill, good fortune and intuition will determine who will triumph. I liked all the characters, and even though I knew when and where tragedy would strike, the emotional impact was no less on this reread.
