While we did say that you could use a penny sleeve for putting your Pokemon card into a toploader, we do suggest that you get your hands on the best sleeves that you can afford. While a penny sleeve should be able to provide a decent amount of protection for your Pokemon card, the more you spend on the sleeve, the more protection your card gets. The main characteristic that makes these toploaders so sought after by collectors is their quality. The plastic is made with a super clear, rigid PVC. This helps protect against scratches and bends. Unfortunately, these toploaders do tend to show scratches easily on the outside if you aren’t being careful.

You should be using standard sized toploaders for your Pokemon cards. Anything other than standard size may either be too small or too big to safely house and store your cards. FIrstly, you are going to want to load your Pokemon card into a fresh card sleeve. Don’t use an old one. If a sleeve has been used before, then there is likely to be a small amount of dust inside. This could end up scratching your card. Known as a reliable and trustworthy brand in the world of comic book and even just photo storage, naturally BCW’s trading card protection solutions are very dependable too. I’ve seen the “floppy” card savers used for PSA submissions and I don’t think that’s what I’m going for. Ultimately, the best option will depend on how the cards will be used, stored, and transported, as well as the user’s budget. Both card savers and toploaders can provide adequate protection for trading cards, and it may be a good idea to use both, with card savers for everyday handling and toploaders for transport and shipment.

Where To Buy Toploaders for Cards

With Ultra Pro being such a reliable, respected and popular brand when it comes to protecting trading cards, it’s no surprise that we here at Retro Dodo recommend their standard clear Toploaders as the number one choice on our best Toploaders for trading cards list. Long-term preservation: By using toploaders, you can help ensure that your cards remain in good condition for years to come. I have like 13 toploaders I’ve received buying singles from various online shops. I don’t know what brand they are, but they are the typical toploaders that can fit 1-2 cards (depending on what sleeves you use). Once again, you probably wouldn’t need to think too much about the size of the card sleeves that you need. This is because Pokemon trading cards are a standard trading card game size. Out of the big games, it is only YuGiOh cards that are different. Toploaders are a great way to keep your most prized Pokemon cards in as mint condition as possible. Toploaders not only offer superb protection for your cards, but they are also a great way to display or showcase your most valuable cards.

These run a little bit smaller than the Ultra PRO and TitanShield toploaders, but should still be able to hold your Pokemon cards just fine. These toploaders are labeled as fitting cards up to 20 points, so these will be a nice and snug fit. Top loaders can potentially damage cards if they are not used correctly. Here are a few ways to minimize the risk of damage: Make sure that your card gets all the way to the bottom of the toploader. When it is at the bottom, the top of the toploader should shut closed. Your card should now be fully protected! What Size PT Are Pokemon Cards? If you do have any of the most rare Magic The Gathering cards or some of these rare Pokemon cards, you’re definitely going to be wanting to take a look at this list! With all the different brands of toploaders on the market, it can be hard to choose the best one. We looked through the market and brought you some of the best These toploaders offer decent protection and are ultra clear and durable. They aren’t the best in terms of quality if that’s what you are after. One really good trait with these toploaders is that they leave minimal footprint. They are lightweight and easier to use than other brands. Simply separate the side of the toploaders and slide your card inside. This can be both a pro or a con depending on how you look at it. It’s subjective to determine which is better between Ultra Pro and BCW as it depends on personal preference and the specific needs of the user. Both Ultra Pro and BCW are popular and well-respected brands in the trading card protection market. Ultra Pro is known for offering a wide range of products with good quality and affordability, while BCW is known for its high-quality materials and clear protective sleeves. Ultimately, the best option will depend on the user’s specific requirements, budget, and personal preference. There’s an awful lot of non-branded – or at least non-recognisable, non-household name – manufacturers of toploaders for trading cards out there.

The biggest selling point for these toploaders is of course their price. They’re a lot more affordable than many of the bigger brands that most gamers and collectors are familiar with. While toploaders are not necessary for protecting cards, they can be a good investment for those who want to ensure the long-term preservation and value of their card collection. Increased value: Keeping cards in pristine condition can increase their value, especially for rare or collectible cards. Protection during transport: When transporting cards, toploaders provide additional protection against damage from bumps, jostles, and other potential sources of damage. Toploaders are relatively cheap, and there are two ways you can go about purchasing toploaders for your collection. OPTION 1: Quantity You are looking for any toploader that measures 3″ x 4″. You can opt for something slightly larger, but your cards will likely bounce around inside of them, and thus it wouldn’t really be good for protecting your Pokemon cards.

The sacrifice made with this option, is that the toploaders are usually thinner and do not do as good of a job protecting the cards from bending. There is also sometimes residual glue left over from cheaper manufacturing practices. This somewhat defeats the purpose if your cards can be damaged when you put them in the toploader OPTION 2: Quality The next toploader on our list is the Go Delight Topload Card Holders 3″ x 4″. These toploaders are made by a private label company that goes by the name of Go Delight. Usually private label companies create products as cheaply as possible and offer bad quality products, and these seem to be somewhere in the middle. This means that there’s a huge number and variety of protective products on the market that’ll take care of your trading cards, with rigid toploaders being the best option if you have any expensive or particularly rare cards in your collection. Once your card has been placed into the sleeve, you can gently slide it into the toploader. To do this, part the opening of the toploader a little. Don’t stretch it too much. You want just enough space to be able to get your card in there.Extra protection: Toploaders provide extra protection against scratches, dust, moisture, and other potential sources of damage. To properly use a toploader to keep Pokémon cards safe, first put your card into a regular card sleeve or penny sleeve. This is a critical step many people forget.
