Life was incredibly hard and community was everything - it kept you afloat. I have nothing but admiration for the life fishermen led at sea and for their wives and mothers who held everything together while the men were away. Tracy Baines held a special talk at Cleethorpes Library on Wednesday, April 12, and is at Waterstones in Freshney Place today (Friday, April 14) for a signing of her latest book, A New Year for the Seaside Girls.
