Description

During the preview of the following episodes of the first season the censored version is missing out on a few scenes. Drawn Together is fun but still falls short of being the next South Park, which is what Comedy Central was kind of hoping they'd get when they commissioned the series. The episodes presented in this 2 DVD set are not only uncensored but extended, which helps flesh the series out, bringing it much closer to the type of series it appears the producers originally intended to make. The first disc opens with promos for South Park: Imaginationland, Comedy Central TV Funhouse, and Drawn Together: Season Two.

Ling Ling is considered by many to be the most popular character on Drawn Together; fun fact, Ling Ling will secrete a psychedelic sweat when disappointed. This two-disc set includes all fourteen episodes from the third season, and each episode is extended beyond what was shown on television.

Spanky: So we were gathered in the living room to vote and to be honest, I was totally looking forward to voting that hot black chick out. Billed as "the first animated reality series", Drawn Together immediately went after the same raw comedic nerve that has been exploited by the boys over at South Park for nearly 10 years.

This is a small collection of high-res Drawn Together images that I mixed with a DJ Richie Hawtin set. One of the reasons South Park has survived all these years is because of the characters, they're the life's blood of any series and these just as flat as the animation. These edits include censored sexual characteristics, the shortening/deletion of precarious scenes, or the alteration of dialogues.

In the episode, though the joke remains intact, the exact wording is changed; Xandir suggests that Toot try anorexia, to which Ling-Ling replies, "Everybody wins". Paramount continues with the same packaging style for this series, enclosing two slim cases inside a slipcase. However, even if you are an atheist from Iceland, you may still be offended if you don’t care for animated versions of vomit, feces, urine, foul language, or various sex acts. Audio commentaries are always subjective - what one person will find informative and entertaining will be mind shatteringly dull to someone else. So yes, if the show didn’t gross you out or offend you enough when you saw it on television, you have another chance to be disgusted with the DVD.

Drawn Together - TV Series | Comedy Central US

A look at the shows in question should no doubt give you an idea of how interested you might be in seeing them. While Drawn Together doesn't always work, the series still has enough entertaining moments to make it worth your time if you're looking for decent mood elevator. The show delights in taking stereotypes to the extreme, either to deconstruct them or to get away with some really crude joke writing. It actually seems like some effort was put into the sound design for this show, adding to its enjoyment on DVD. The commentary for Lost In A Parking Space, Part 1 begins with some nonsense about a Drawn Together non-drinking game, and never really gets much better. I can understand TV series produced even 10 years ago not thinking ahead far enough to include home video rights when they license some pop music to use in their programs but for a series produced now that had every intention of going to DVD from the beginning to not add that one little detail is inexcusable.
