Description

After reviewing samples and once you are decided on which medium you would like, casts of your baby’s hands or feet (or both) are taken using a casting liquid. The liquid is perfectly safe for babies and children, and captures every intricate and unique detail of their hands and feet. The whole casting process only takes a few minutes. Babyprints have taken solid 3D casts of babies from just days old and there is no age limit, grandparents are very keen to have their hands casts with their precious grandchild. Now you have made your baby's foot mould, the next step is to fill it with plaster. You should do this right away after making your mould, as the alginate mould will start to break down after about 20 minutes or so - the alginate becomes unstable and more watery. By putting in the plaster straight away, the alginate mould will retain those fine lines and wrinkles that have been captured.

I started lifecasting in 2003 when I had my daughter, and began to build my first business ‘Impressive Babies’. I left my music teaching career to run my business full time in 2013 and ‘Impressive Memories’ has grown and flourished, as has my daughter, since. The magic is in the finishing, Babyprints are expertly trained and finish all products to the highest standards. I am a highly trained 3D casting specialist, having honed my skills under the exceptionally experienced and watchful eyes of Donna Richardson, head trainer of the Babyprints franchise network.

When the alginate has set, gently wriggle out baby's foot from the alginate mould. 4. PLASTER MIXING AND AND HOW TO POUR INTO THE BABY FOOT / HAND IMPRESSION MOULD Then the king told the attendants, Tie him up hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For impressions, we use a very soft terracotta clay, It is pain free and takes literally seconds to do. We recommend casting from 3-4 weeks old for impressions.

Leave the plaster casts for at least 5-7 days to completely dry out before painting them. If you paint them before they’re thoroughly dry, the paint won’t adhere to the casts - the paint will just disappear into the plaster cast...Continue to spoon in the plaster, moving the mould until to you get to the top of the alginate mould. When done, tap the sides of the container to bring up any air bubbles that may be within the plaster. The person who gifts a baby hand and foot casting experience is someone who values the new arrival of an Impressive baby. Someone who wants to give a gift that will last a lifetime. They don’t want to give the ‘expected’ cute little outfit that’s worn once and lives in a drawer. They might be parents themselves who wish they’d received a gift that they could treasure for a lifetime. Strong's 1249: Probably from an obsolete diako; an attendant, i.e. a waiter; specially, a Christian teacher and pastor. Then the king told the servants, 'Tie him up hand and foot, and throw him outside in the dark. There he will cry and gnash his teeth.'" Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Stage 1 of the casting process, is the same as the 'finger test' steps, but this time you will use a suitable sized container for your baby's foot. Use a container similar to a small margarine tub - the rectangular shape is best for the foot. Ensure your container is not too big for your baby's foot - the empty space around your baby's foot whilst in the container will need to be filled with alginate, so you need a container that ideally has no more than a 1" gap around your baby's foot to avoid wasting so much alginate. Do not get your plaster cast wet. This will weaken it, and your bone will no longer be properly supported. What if they’re hungry? No worries. Bring plenty of milk… there is no rushing and the baby’s needs always come first. You’re welcome to feed your baby by whatever methods you choose while here, and you are the only people here in the studio – make yourself at home. If babies are a little older and weaned, bring them something they really enjoy that will distract their attention. Top Tip: Take care when handling the damp plaster cast - the surface is delicate and the replicated fine skin details can be lost if the plaster cast is handled too harshly. Our handmade, top quality deep shadow box display frames and plinth stand make the perfect display for your hand and foot cast, wedding flowers, your keepsakes and other memorabilia and art.Casting materials and paints can be bought separately should you wish to make additional keepsake hand and foot casts. The plaster mix is a ratio of 2 parts plaster to 1 part water. Plenty of plaster is provided in our kits along with instructions. The plaster should be a nice smooth and runny consistency, so that it can get into all of the little nooks and crannies of alginate mould. Before you pour the plaster into the mould, tap the sides of the mixing bowl to bring any air bubbles in the plaster mix up to the top.
