There are a few reasons why your Nest thermostat temperature may be different from your home’s actual temperature. First, though, let’s make sure we’re looking at the correct temperature on the display. The display connector on the thermostat base is different for all 3 generations of the Nest Learning Thermostat. In addition, the connectors for the system wires are different between thermostat models. This problem can go away on its own. However, it’s a good indicator that you should take a look at the add-a-wire accessory we discussed above.
